I've played OOB for many hours on this setup but during a recent game the game crashed to a blank screen, and will not load again. I can get the menu and the launch page to choose between Battle of Britain and the regular game, but when I click on either, the game starts to load but issues a blank screen (cursor visible and working) and waits. From the windows Task Manager, I can see the application is running and the computer is operating normally. I can close OOB from task manager and all is well, so the computer is not crashed, just the game.
I reinstalled the game and a early (initial version) loaded and ran OK, but after the upgrades, the problem appeared. Curious thing, the crash first occurred DURING a game. I am attaching the error files produced as well as a recent dxdiag. I have uploaded the most recent nvidia drivers.

Re: Graphics problem: blank screen
on looking on your report, you have had a couple of blue screens on windows 10, these aren't minor errors, these are major hardware / software eg Operating system ones.
first question is, what antivirus are you running? the reason i ask, is this,

this is my opinion, as there is no game related errors in the report

is a known conflict on a AV packageFault bucket BAD_DUMPFILE, type 0
is an error in the file in the package that uploads errors to Microsoft, so for this to fail, isn't good at all either.Fault bucket 0x3B_rdyboost!ST_STORE_struct_SMD_TRAITS_::StReleaseRegion, type 0

as one is AV related and another is your spyware protection falling over, for more of an idea, i'd run both, then check the logs of both and see what's in the logs as both will log scan and errors, so you can cross reference the dates to the game crash and see if either had any impact of the game, ruling this out first, then we can try something else, easy way is to add the game folder and or the game exe to the safe list of both, and not have the active part of the scanner for Malwarebytes running at the same time as the game, if a good AV program, just adding the game exe to the safelist will stop it scanning it and hanging or crashing the game when both are running. The process known as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or Malwarebytes or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Corporate)
this is my opinion, as there is no game related errors in the report
Re: Graphics problem: blank screen
if the game is corrupt, only way to fully restore in to remove all traces of the game, uninstall, wipe folder clean and reinstall and patch again, this won't alter the saves, as there stored elsewhere, if they don't work on the reinstall, then something corrupted them as well i'm sorry to say
Re: Graphics problem: blank screen
Thank you for your most thoughtful reply! I deleted the SETTINGS folder (again) and got things to work. You are right in that some weird things have happened on this machine but I re-installed windows and started from scratch and thought things were ok. I agree with you that this does not appear to be game related and the new version seems to work (just uploaded Burma).
Did not re-install Norton on this machine, but do have malware bytes running. Will monitor that.
Thanks again. Now my addiction can continue....

Re: Graphics problem: blank screen
glad your sorted, and yes Norton while being a good bit of kit, can cause a rather high amount of issues, unless you safe list / white list most games in it
