Possible 1808 Bug

Post by joerock22 »

I was playing as the Coalition in the 1808 Peninsular War Campaign, and when I captured Lisbon, Portugal became a vassal of France. I got kicked out of Lisbon and the other Portuguese city, and I lost all of my Portuguese troops. This isn't supposed to happen, is it?

Means Portugal was just about to throw in the towel when you landed with your units. The rules for surrender will be changed in the patch.

They were? This happened in turn 17 or 18, after I had landed in Northern Spain, captured Madrid, and was pushing France out of the Pyrenes. Portugal shouldn't have been ready to throw in the towel at that point. Not a big deal, though I do worry that something like that might cost me on a higher difficulty level.
