That's the idea. When GC 40 is done, i'll start updating the links on the first page.

Warsaw (North) is more fun now with less auxiliary units.
Spoils of War is much better now. I used to skip that one normally, because it`s so weird. But now it`s worth playing.
Not exactly sure what you changed in Lillehammer. For me the scenario felt about the same as usual. The guys in the north started moving when I conquered the last victory hex.

Most people won't notice the difference.
The Norwegian mountain troops were triggerd to attack after a non-essential flag inside Lillehammer was captured. I just changed the trigger to work when one of the Lillehammer objectives is taken.

Maybe they should move earlier. Makes no sense, to attack on the last turn, if they can`t even reach my units in one turn.

Final version of GC 39 as part of the upgrade project!

GC 39 with preset army

GC 39 with build your own starting army
GC39.rar
GC39 extended
(158.47 KiB) Downloaded 234 times
Final changes:
Spoils of war: Soviet flags added in city of Brest, placed "Building Brest Fortress" in Brest.
Lillehammer: Norwegian mountain inf stationed north of Lillehammer are more likely to move/attack faster in this version. Two Daimler Dingo's were added.

A little reminder that the opening scenario, Poznan, has a proper user-made map in this version, not the original which contained some mistakes.

As i finished my playthrough of GC 39, i began working on the final version of GC 40. In analogy with GC 39 there will be exit zones on every map and rail and air transports (for FJ).
The opening mission Eben-Emael always felt a bit restrictive because there is only one workable river crossing. I enlarged the map three hexes further to the south, created an additional road and rail crossing from/to the city of Liege. I made some changes to the "impossible" river crossing as an additional angle of attack.
The second mission, Albert Canal, i did a graphical update of the canal and made the map a few hexes larger to the east, to be able to create exit zones.
Any further suggestions are welcome for this DLC, because once i release it, it will be final.

Didn`t try the final version of 39, as I completed the campaign with the version before. But the final version does sound better. Though, can`t you use FJ before Norway anyways with vanilla eqp file?
40 seems good. Though Eben-Emael isn`t that restrictive if you use bridge engineers. One of the few scenarios where they can be really helpful.

Hello Nikvid,
Thank you for your work, it makes us want to play DLC again.
A small observation for the upgrade 2.3, you have changed the validity date of the 40 LuftW but it should also change the name to 39 LuftW.
Best regards

GC 40 final (probably)

Eben-Emael: expanded map three hexes to the south to create another crossing across the river Meuse. Some Belgian units added. Removed a German auxiliary, raised core from 19 to 20. Removed one British bomber.
Albert Canal: expanded map two hexes to the east to be able to create exit zones. Albert and Willebroek Canal graphics updated.
Amiens: capturable equipment added
Arras: removed five German auxiliaries, raised number of core slots from 23 to 28
Maginot line: changed French flag to neutral in town of Virton (that's Belgian territory), removed 5 German auxiliaries and raised number of core slots from 25 to 30
Maubeuge: capturable equipment added
Stonne: added an airfield near town of Stonne, raised number of core slots to 28, removed three German auxiliaries, raised number of turns to 26, capturable equipment added

This contains the correct 39 LuftW FJ (thanks Glaude)

I just played through your 39 upgrade and it all worked without problems. Actually there were some problems, but it would be completely unfair to blame anyone else for my own dumb mistakes.

In Eben Emael I normally bring a bridge engineer to cross the river near the bottom of the map, but your enlarged map will open up another option, which is good.

Hello Nikivdd,
I don't know if it's a mistake or if it's supposed to be like that.
But there's no SS version of the new German 10 cm Nblwf 40.
Thank you for all your work.

Soren

Final version DLC GC 40

I made a few minor corrections to the scenarios Stonne and Maginot Line. For example in Maginot Line a few core unis can be deployed at the northern and western edges of the map instead of the auxiliaries that were placed there.
After this playthrough it felt that none of the playability of the scenarios has dimished but in some instances the raised core unit presence is gratifying (with the Eastern Campaign in mind).

As an extra i share my core army save from DLC 40. Remember you will need version 24 of the e-file upgrade project in order to check it out and/or to use it with DLC GC 41.

My next job is to create the exit locations for the scenarios of DLC GC 41 and maybe i'll make a few other changes as well.

Final version DLC GC 41 (probably)
GC41.rar
(303.43 KiB) Downloaded 253 times
All scenarios now have exit locations and at least 5 rail and air transports.
It is at the player's discretion to exit auxiliary units for later redeployment or to disband for additional prestige; I do imagine it comes in handy for the novice players among us.

I also take the opportunity to thank everyone who were so kind to respond to this thread and have provided support in any form to this project.

Changelog:

Demyansk Pocket: raised number of core units from 31 to 38, removed 7 auxiliaries, added deployment zone west of the Demyansk pocket. Auxiliaries west of the pocket have been replaced by strongpoints. Soviet SE units changed to regular.
Minsk: raised number of core units from 29 to 32, removed 3 auxiliaries; Ba-10 (9,23) starts with ammo available
Novgorod: expanded map two hexes to the west to create exit locations, railroad added
Ostrov: railroad added
Smolensk41: expanded map two hexes to the west to create exit locations
Vyazma: changed Soviet unit composition near Kaluga somewhat, roads were added for two exit locations near Yelnya and Zhirkovskiy
Zhitomir and Zhurivka: expanded map two hexes to the north to create exit locations, railroad and roads added
Zolotonosha: rearranged roads at starting locations, railroad added, raised number of core slots from 30 to 32, removed 2 auxiliaries

A single downloadable file for the entire Grand Campaign will be provided upon completion of this project.
