grand campaign

Post by wooman99 »

Hello,i downloaded the game 2 days ago and played the grand campaign.I was france playing even up.
Russia just sits there building up and never moved till i attacked in force.Well i knock russia out along with the other 2
and then invaded england. Was very easy so i guess i need to play it on hard.So my next game i was the allies, and after france knocks
austria out france moves all armies to paris and has been sitting there for 2 years!!!! wtf! Is this how the A I WORKS! PLEASE TELL ME
THIS IS A BUG AND WILL BE FIXED! Has anyone else seen this? Im going to start a new game to see if the AI does the same thing.

PS this game looks great and i love the fact that other units can get support from arty and cav
also was glad u put the convoys in.
:D

Hi, there have been a number of posts about this issue and it has been stated that priority will be given to beefing up the France AI in this scenario. In the meantime there are a couple of things you could do whilst we wait. First you could try the shorter scenarios which have better balance and may give you a stiffer game, especially at the hard level.

Alternatively, you could replay the 1805 scenario as the Coalition and try to ensure that France does not knock out Austria. This will provide a game which is a bit more menaingful.

Bern sums it up very good, they will be fixed soon. Some AI problem happened as side effects from changing the AI late in the development cycle. Had I expected that to make some AI situations passive I would have solved it right away.
