Game doesn't start

After updating to the latest OS on my MAC (10.12.16) the game doesn't start anymore. It starts but it is in windowed mode and nothing happens. I don't see anything on the screen and no sound is playing. Only way of closing the game is making a force quit.
I am wondering of uninstalling and installing the game but I doesn't want to lose my saved games.

This is to be expected. Slitherine takes no responsibility for the quality of the Mac port which comes from a third party porting house. The port is full of bugs, but not a single patch has or ever will be released. A Slitherine employee will eventually reply to this with an email address for some guy at the porting house who basically just tells you to suck it up.

Well it Would be nice if someone else with a Mac could confirm that They have the same issue as I with the new OS update so it isn't another problem.
IF it is the new update that is causing the problem I wouldnt be surprised, since the game was released in May I alone have sent probably 50 or so crash reports to Apple. My Mac has never crashed during the 3 year period I have had it in my possesion so I am not surprised that Apple has fixed some bug that caused it to crash. They must have gotten thousands om crash reports from this game probably making it one of the top reasons the Mac crashes. Too bad that the side effect is that the game wont start...
I really want an official comment on this if it really is the reason my game wont start

I'm not very familiar with the Mac OS but cant' you copy/backup the folder where the saved games are, reinstall and then copy the saved games back into the new saved games folder?

Dunno. For what its worth, the game does load in macOS 10.13 beta.

Um no. I'd be surprised if this game sold more than a couple hundred copies on the Mac, the quality of the port is poor and the price is much more than many quality games. The Mac port relies on poorly maintained 3rd party coding tools rather than native code. Apple isn't going to lose any sleep over such a product- their efforts are directed at developers who want to create high quality native apps that really shine. Put another way, if Slitherine doesn't care if the Mac port is good or not, neither does Apple.

So I am guessing my only chance then is to uninstall the game. Does anyone know where the save folder is located. I cant find it anywhere...

If you bought it from the Mac App Store everything should be contained within the app itself. You can control click on the app to see what's inside.

So i located the save games (after a long time trying to locate them. it´s not obvious by any means...) and copied them. Uninstalled the game and reinstalled it again but still doesn't work.
I really would like an official comment on this problem and how they are going to fix it or help me and others with the same problem. Surely I can´t be the only one who bought the mac version and have updated to the new OS and have this problem.
I am running the game on a macbook pro retina late 2013.

Try renameing the folder "com.vptld.panzercorps" as "_com.vptld.panzercorps" at "../library/application support/" and restart the game.

I don't have a folder named com.vptld.panzercorps I only have a folder named com.slitherine.osx.panzercorps under library/application support.

Than rename that one as "_com.slitherine.osx.panzercorps" and start the game.

Any idea if that porting house is still even working on PzC? Because we are still at version 1.0.0 three months after release and its not for lack of bugs to fix.
