Complete customization of all units for random games. If it did nothing else other than this, I'd buy it for that reason. I want to construct a random game on a random map and choose all the units I'm going to use and choose all the units I want to fight. I'd pay $20 bucks for that ability. I think your game was too cheap to begin with, others argued it was priced right because there are only two factions, but what you gave us was great, except you left out any way for us to control exactly what we fight with and against. Does this new DLC give us complete control over the units we can choose to fight with and against?

Hello Dizzy_slith
No I'm afraid it doesn't but I can appreciate why you would like such control over your forces
We did look into it one point and it wasn't quite as simple to implement as perhaps it sounds
Its on the list to look at again in the future but no promises at this point
Thanks for your kind words as well
Ben Wilkins

The replayability of Sanctus Reach is stunted because of the random unit choices. It's a shame that this gem of a game that is so incredibly well done in so many ways is hampered by a technical issue you guys cant solve.
I've posted many times about this game's problem that it doesnt have a unit selection that's representative of a complete selection control over forces you field and fight and why that is so important to the longevity of a game and making it relevant after the campaigns are finished. I put in 185 hours by week three after the release of the game and havent touched it since. It's just not fun anymore when I cant freely and easily choose (mission editor is not a quick and suitable fix) the units I want to have in a battle on both sides.
To some, this isnt an issue, but to many it is and even those few who didnt complain, do so after they have exhausted their fun with random battles and want more control over the units they are able to field.
I'll be buying Deadlock BSG, because I'm a fan of the genre and I love the visuals of the game so far and you guys are pretty good developers IMO, but dont get me wrong, if that game doesnt have a random game generator that lets me choose the forces Im fighting with and against, Im gonna be pissed and probably write you guys off and not buy your games again. Thats the only form of protest that works. You have had a lot of people complain about this issue with this game to know not to repeat it again. You know you fucked up with the unit selector in Sanctus Reach, dont also make that mistake in Deadlock and please fix it in Sanctus Reach. Please. The game is great otherwise, but has little replay value when its always random unit selection. That sucks, man. C'mon.
EDIT: Just want to make clear for players new to this game that are not current on this issue, this issue of unit selection for Force Organization is not a bug, it's a limitation designed into the game by Slitherine that prevents freedom of unit selection by they player. It's not broken. The game works fine. But it unnecessarily restricts your unit choices you fight with and against. So Just wanted to put that out there so I dont discourage new players from this game if they read this post, the game is really amazing, but this one tiny issue hampers replay ability in the long term, IMO. Carry on...

Re: I would pay $19.99 for the DLC if it had this:
Frustration is understood. But you can easily take any mission of any campaign and put any units you want in there in the editor, save it, and done. If the editor wasn't easy to use, that would be different.
However, I'm sure this "glitch" is almost as annoying to the devs as to some players!
If by odd chance you edit the missions, see below. I did not know this and it caused me some frustration:
You should be able to edit the DLC levels. Just make sure you have turned debug mode on in config/system.txt, this will have been turned off when you updated.
Otherwise you can go into the editor and create a copy of the weirdboy campaign and make your changes that way instead of editing the base game files which might break multiplayer for you.
