I am in the last stages of my testing. Turn 71, May 1944. My forces are at the outskirts of Warsaw and even though the Wehrmacht is shattered, still is a force to be fear as they put hard resistance for every km2 won by the Red Army.

Hello Akkula! Waiting eagerly for the new update of this mod... Looking at the screenshots, I think the 160 mm mortar unit looks a liitle light in tone... May ber you can try those new modified ones... 8)

Hello guys, I am about to release this new update in the next coming days (of THIS week).
All testing is done and I am just tuning some stuff and adding some graphical details like this:

I decided to get ride of those "ugly" "A", "B" hexes. For example:

Excellent! I specially like the effort you are doing in making visually identifiable frozen water bodies, this is of paramount importance to me! The soft-colored hexes are also very appealing, looking better than the letter markers. Thumbs up!! 8)

I made some improvements for the frozen lakes thing. I used the Guille´s work from some years ago and I started to play with the tile files. Now it looks much better:

I just replaced all the "A" hexes in the campaign with the colored ones. The result?: MUCH better identifiable hexes for the player. :)

Players that already played The Forgotten Campaigns know that he is at Tallinn as an auxiliary unit (historically accurate for those who may be surprised). But I will add it also in the scenario "Streets of Berlin", at the end of the battle two examples were found near a museum (captured from the Russians during Barbarossa for sure). There is no evidence they were used in combat, so in order to add some fun and historical accuracy, I added it to the scenario BUT with low strength and with no fuel or ammo... the player will decide what to do. :P

Отлично ) Теперь уже в старой версии 1.9 дошел до Демянска . Теперь наверное придется заново переигрывать, что бы новые юниты не пропустить ( сейвы будут работать ) !?

Странно, нелетная погода в течении последних 4 ходов не позволяет сбивать третий J-52 и я проигрываю ....

Strangely, the inclement weather over the last 4 moves are not allows to bring down the third J-52 and I lose ....

But I see that you used the 4th empty tile next to the 3 water tiles in layerbasefrozen. And it works.

Thanks Akula for the update 1.95.
As usual, it's fantastic.
From the beginning we realize the changes (I try the scenario in 99 laps)
Just a bizarre: the observation plane makes ground attacks. Maybe it should not be given HA and SA values?

In RAW mod i leave air recon in recon class so that AI acted as recon, and they had priority in the order of the AI's move.
I also used trait captureflag to reverse capture hex ability.
I am glad you liked the new naval icons, sure friend, use them at your will :D
Regarding the frozen tiles, yeah, it is very fun to play with the summer/winter files, you can achieve interesting results. Besides the "independent" sea/lakes transformation, you can achieve other stuff like the Road Of Lfe to Leningrad by combining terrain type / background or markers tiles.
Regarding the recon units, I believe the AI doesnt use the recon units properly. The AI move them first yes, but just to attack like any other tank or fighter unit, so that it why I thought it would be better to place them (the air recon units) under the fighter class; in the end the fighters are among the first units to be used and the spotting range will take place by the time the ground units make their moves.

Yes, the air recon units have attack values, but they are low, dont worry.
In real life they were armed so it makes some sense (in part), in any case the ground recon units also attack like the tanks in the original game, same situation :P
