why are the U-Boat guns (and sometimes torpedoes) so trash and why is it almost impossible to complete the wolf-pack scenario with all the secondaries completed, because i've been at it for ~2 days and still haven't gotten it done with all the secondaries complete.
I still would like to know why there is no "live" multiplayer for this great game.

Yeah, the balancing in Kriegsmarine is, well, rather bad. Some stuff can drive you crazy. Had the same problems.

I remember solving this like this (vaguely, ask more if this doesnt help):

1. Attack escorts from close range submerged with multiple subs, save before firing. (Quicksave) If you get zero damage, reload.
2. Use that Condor FW 200 (I think that was the name) for the merchant vessels only. Disregard fuel, it is an aux unit.
3. Watch the movement pattern of the whole convoy, anticipate their movements. They are very regular.
4. Dont let your subs get caught in the sonar range of two escorts.

Andy, that sounds about right. That's pretty much what I did, IIRC.

yeah that level was maddening, I got to a point where I had just fired all my torpedoes, and needed 1 more damage to an escort, 1 more transport kill to end the game and I hadn't lost a submarine yet. then I looked in the bottom corner and saw that my turns were 14/15 so with that in mind i just said "to hell with this" and loaded up the match again hit "Shift+c" and typed "#johnconnor" played two turns and then hit "#iamback". after going at it for so long I didn't even feel bad about cheating, but as i was playing on normal I can't even imagine how insanely evil Admiral difficulty would be.
On the bright side I completed surface raider (is it?) the first time without any losses except for a supply ship, and I didn't find the carrier until the second to last turn with a Condor, but i had had so much fun massacring the British Navy I just decided to continue the campaign.
so overall my impression of Kriegsmarine is pretty good albeit that submarine mission mad me want to die.

Yep, my impression was that maybe a month more in the dry dock and the shipyard would have done the Kriegsmarine a lot of good.
