Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Based on the Maxim Gorky Fort icon posted by Akkula, here is a new variation on the theme... The pack includes the base icon, mask and a template to add the red star insignia on the turret side... This icon can, of course be used to represent any heavy artillery fortification. The real Maxim Gorky fort had 305 mm guns... Enjoy!

A little detail improvement for the Finnish forces... A Vickers 6 ton tank icon (in the vanilla roster a Vickers Mk.VI icon was used for it, which was not accurate looking)...
The .rar files includes the icon, mask, and a new color skin for it... Enjoy!

Fantastic!, that Vickers looks beautiful.
Finally we have more accuracy for the Finnish roster. I will add it to my mod ASAP
I love to check this thread, one never knows what surprises are waiting to show up
Thanks a lot Guille!.
Best regards,
Akkula.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Thanks guys!! I like it very much the "surprise effect" that this thread has...
You know, I enjoy making icons, but the thing I enjoy most is to help fabulous modders like both of you in the mods you are working on... That, in my opinion, gives the best result: icon "food" for talented modders.
So, thanks for your nice comments. It is always necessary for me to find some encouraging words when I come back to this forum... Some kine of "reverse surprise" effect for sure. The truth is, I now have little spare time to enjoy this hobby and game, and also it is kind of sad to see that we are so few visiting this forum. But, still, I enjoy all of it a lot!!
Thanks again, guys, your words mean a lot to me!!

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Well, talking about the Finnish unit roster, I found that the modernized infantry unit for this country was missing from my collection! I always was very interested in the Winter War, as it was, probably, one of the most one-sided conflicts regarding the relation between forces involved and losses suffered...
So, here you have the detail-improved Infantry 39 icon, and the upgraded Infantry 43 icon, Finnish style...

A powerful aircraft, received by the Soviet Air Force as lend-lease equipment... The P-47B. This icon was made based on a new base design... I hope you like it...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Thanks friends! I plan to give everybody here "mod fuel" for much more time.
Preview of next units: Soviet lend-lease P-47D (with bubble canopy) and a real killer: T-44-100. In fact, if I remember well, this tank was a post-war project and never got in service, because it was like a step-stone to the T-54 which inherited the powerful 100 mm gun. History notwithstanding, you will have it ready to lead the liberation of Europe in the very late World War II (taking the word "liberation" from the very particular Stalinist point of view, that is).
Cheers!

The T44-100 upgunned variant... Including a separate base icon and mask to paint the side armor skirts with their own scheme...
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Hi, Guille! Would you be willing to make an Italian Ju-87B and a Bulgarian Avia B71 bomber based on Bebro`s German Ju-87B and Soviet Tupolev SB? I managed to find two plastic models as examples which seem to not require any extensive work on bebro`s original. Whenever I get to Balkan scenarios it kinda bothers me that the Bulgarians have no aircraft and I know the Italians should have something more effective
(like the Stuka group they historically had).
Italian Ju-87B:
http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/inde ... 2-ju-87b2/
Basically you`d need to add a white cross to the tail, cover the German Balkenkreuz with the Italian logo and make that yellow fuselage band to be white. The rest of the paintjob can stay the same.
Bulgarian Avia B71. This is basically the Tupolev SB build by Czechoslovakia. Photobucket has made the leap to - highly - paid services and instituted restrictions so I can only post the link to the gallery and you`ll have to make out the thumbnails:
http://s164.photobucket.com/user/Chairm ... t=3&page=1
Basically you can cover the fuselage red start with the Bulgarian X logo. That also needs to be added to the wings. The body could do with those dark camouflage bands, but if that`s hard I don`t think they`re a must. The absence of the light blue underside/lower part will also probably not be noticed.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Hello Mark50! Indeed, those two icon variants are worth adding to our library... Fortunately, I had previously released an Italian Ju-87B, and I had made the base icon and mask for it, so, to make the variant you asked was a quick affair... Here are the green colored italian Ju-87B, and also, the same aircraft in some as yet unreleased camo scheme variants... For the Avia B-71, I have to make its base icon and mask in order to paint it as a Bulgarian machine, then add the insignia... Not impossible, but it will take some more time...
Meanwhile, I hope you like these Ju-87B in Italian markings.

Indeed... here are the icons for three different schemes of that fighter aircraft. Those were made a long time ago... Here are the same ones but with some detail improvements. Enjoy!
