As others have said, this is a very creative choice; also, so as not to mimic the old Panzer Corps campaigns. Nor do I recall ever playing a digitized campaign covering Burma in the last 30 years ;)

Sounds really great. But when I look at the unit list, how does a Ju 52 fit to the China-Burma-India Theater?

Maybe, but in the unit list it is the only German plane and is it not already in Blitzkrieg?

I believe it is a new unit dealing with air supply. I have no idea how it will be implemented.
We'll have to wait and see :D

I think they will add the air supply mechanic for the Burma campaign since the Chindits were mostly supplied by air. And the German planes just go along with it.
Personally, I think air supply will only be useful for single player for special missions or campaigns and mostly as aux units.
I just cant see doing this stratbomber thing in a regular campaign or in multiplayer on purpose.

Keep in mind that the Air supply success of the Battle of Imphal was mostly done by TRANSPORT planes flying into operating airstrips, not by Strat Bombers dropping supplies. Huge Difference. A battle to keep the airfields clear an not interdicted would be interesting though.

I am very excited that Slitherine-The Aristocrats is coming up with a DLC covering the Burma-India-SE Asia theater, a much forgotten and neglected theater in strategy gaming circles, much like the XIV Army "Forgotten Army" that fought in the theater I look forward to Burma Road's release and wish the developers all the best. I do hope that the relative importance of various unit types/formations will reflect historical accounts and recollections. In particular, the effectiveness of commando operations (e.g., Chindits) is not universally accepted. Even a cursory reading of General Slim's excellent memoir reveals the difficulty and expense of mounting long-range commando patrols that offer no guarantee of yielding definite tactical or strategic advantages to the Allies. In other words, commandos add to the fun factor to be sure, but please don't go crazy over them!

Any word on how the Italians are coming along? I'm looking forward to having the Regio Esercito and the Regia Marina in action.
