(i.e when a 4 element BG loses a base in Impact phase and has to test it does not count the 25% loss minus 1 that test. But in the melee phase were the BG has to test again does the minus 1 count then or is it in the next bound.)

Hi Martin Well i have played in many comp`s and that certainly not how its played. My Question is do you count it in any following cohesion tests that bound or is it the following bound. Now what you are saying i cant find any reference to say you are wrong but the comps i have played with likes of people as Richard Bodley Scott,Si Hall, Hammy and other top players the 25% does not count when you just loss the element.WhiteKnight wrote:I have always played that the BG receives the minus one for every test after it loses the base

Found It Martin if you look at the full turn sequence you take your test first then take death rolls its become confusing because every one throws there cohesion dice and the death roll dice at the same time.andy63 wrote:Hi Martin Well i have played in many comp`s and that certainly not how its played. Right you are. Every CT after the failed death throw will have a -1, including the CT because the nearby friendly BG just routed.WhiteKnight wrote:I have always played that the BG receives the minus one for every test after it loses the base

That is because you don't take the death roll until after the post-combat cohesion test, Andy. (See sequence of play). So you havn't "just lost the element" when you take the post-combat cohesion test. We tend to throw the dice simultaneously, but only for convenience.andy63 wrote:Hi Martin Well i have played in many comp`s and that certainly not how its played. Yes Richard i found it before your reply and i knew this is how it was played but whilst playing Bob he put it to me that you don't count it till the following bound which i knew was wrong but could not find anything about 25% losses,it was only when i looked up the full turn sequence and scrutinise it that i found the info i wanted. Anyway cheers for replying.rbodleyscott wrote:That is because you don't take the death roll until after the post-combat cohesion test, Andy. (See sequence of play). You do count it for all cohesion tests after you have lost it.
