claytonengel - Later Ottomans (27/44) 61%
defeats
Jakdaw - Catalan Company (Early) (58/54) 100%
Jakdaw's Catalan Company left the Ottoman army a fragmented shell of it's former glory. This battle could have easily gone the other way. Well played!

We finished up one more this morning!
paulmcneil and I had our fun and danced all over the field of battle, ended up with the Santas sneaking out a win by sliding down the chimney and throwing presents to his troops, causing much disarray in the backfield!
Santas 33/57, Lithuanians 41/37, 58/100 for percentage.
Thanks man!!! Me brain now hurts, he was exercising it so much for me!!!

battle result:
klayeckles later germans 35/59 beat epos serbians. 52/48
tough draw for the serbs... heavy knights agains the phalynx...and the tough german MF dominated the rough country, giving the serbs little opportunity to find an advantage.

Re: Special league Tournament
Result
My Morea Byz 53/58 (91%) defeated Paulmcneils Lithuanians 39/36 (100%)
Great game, very level right to the end, where superior numbers just made the difference. These Byzantines struggle with those Heavy Knigget types , just cant knock them over unless we can get in behind them!!

Two challenges up for whoever needs to play me. PW: jakdaw
Re: Special league Tournament
Took down the unused challenges,
Sir Lancelot, Edmund, Emiliano, Burgot and notjustdon, challenge me whenever you catch up and need an opponent.
I do have two OPEN games up there, but they are 600 pointers for anyone, not the 600/1000pt army like on here.
Don't use them!!!!!

Re: Special league Tournament
result....
klayeckles germans 36/60 vs clayengel ottoman 48/44
this was a crazy chess match, with the germans bringing a better stand up army, and the ottomans having superior shooting, field works, and terrain. the two armies met at the river, with the ottoman bowmen getting to the banks first. in the woods, these devils were deadly turning back countless knight, pike, and MF charges. the germans were taking huge losses both from trying to force the river, and from the insessent bow shooting. but some of the knights charging across the river, into the woods, did so obliquely, causing the bowmen to turn to respond. finally, a german trooper found an exposed rear, and soon a hole opened in the river line. now the dented and battered germans could finally find some open ground for their more numerous army to manouver. but it wasn't over. the ottomans committed their elite cavalry, and soon a swirling melee was happening across the entire river front. first germans flanking a pocket of ottomans, then just the reverse. when the shot up swiss pike finally got into the battle ground they arrived to find the ottomans retreating behind their prepared fieldworks. but now the attrtion on both sides was starting to effect the ottomans...theyd taken some losses, and many troops hunkered in their fieldworks. this meant the germans had a significant numerical advantage....eventually, as the pockets of ottoman troops fighting in the river banks faltered and collapsed. that freed even more germans, and the brave elite cavalry of the ottomans were hit from all sides. the germans managed to cause a general rout without ever having attacked the fieldworks.
a fantastic battle with a come from behind victory for the germans. great game Clay!!!
