The weightings for the world rankings and each set of national rankings are different.

At the moment for the US rankings all events are weighted as 100 points per event. I believe that next year there are plans to differentiate.

For the World rankings the IWF championship is rated as 120, Britcon, the Historicon open and Alcoy in Spain are rated as 100 and everything else is rated at 80 points.

FWIW in the UK Britcon and the Challenge are worth 120, Roll Call and Warfare are worth 100 and everything else is worth 80.

It is just that different systems suit different countries and for the World rankings we have to pick some weightings.

James, just coz' I am nozy and used to be a System Tester, what does the 'U' stand for in number of compies column (or you just thursty and trying to ask for a 7 Up)? Also, could you make the Country - Club column a tad wider (what a great spec) as Paul Cummins belongs to '(GB - Wycombe Warba' currently? Also I doubt R J-C would be thrilled to be shown as '(GB - Society of Ancien', (but he deservises it as he likes S*ss*n*ds). Though to be fair, if you select and copy the text it does grab all of it. I have missed out the 20 or so others further down so probably needs to be 25% wider.

Another thread has pointed out the 404 error for the Spain list.

I put the U in to indicate that a player has an umpire credit. This is because I got complaints that players had scores higher than they could possibly have from the number of tournaments played. I could have added 1 to the number of comps played but then I would get some smart alec saying that they had checked and player Y hadn't played in 3 tournaments, only 2.

I thought I had adjusted the column widths on the file I sent to be uploaded, I will see what I can do to get the coulmns adjusted.

Hammy is only responsible for providing the stats. It is a bit cruel to blame him for problems with the Slitherine web site.

I thought that as the President of the IWF, it was Hammy's job to be blamed for EVERYTHING that is wrong in wargaming.

Nothing to do with being el presidente - it is just always Hammy's fault

Just out of interest, were the Spanish Rankings supplied Julián Lopez in the same way that the World rankings were supplied by Hammy?

I wouldn't do such a thing. One of my minions compiled and sent it...

Anyway, I expect to be knocked off the top spot at next weekend's competition in Jaen. I can't possibly do well with Mid Republican Roman.

Gentlemen, gentlemen. No bickering in public please. To settle matters, I think it is my duty as President to take all the credit for your hard work...hehe :D

I hope I don't play you in Jaén, Granadine vs Mid Republican Roman is not going to be fun for either of us.
