Swiss Army

Hi There
Am I right that Hammy said the winner at Britcon fought with Swiss without pikes, any idea what army list was used in the Storm of Arrows minimum Pike is eight bases.

Hi Dave he probably meant he use the early Swiss 1360 to 1421 and you are right must have at least 8 pikemen.
What Hammy is saying that most people use the later option with the pike feast which i have used at this years doubles at Leeds.
Anyone who tries to take these on frontally are on the way to a sound beating.

1360 to 1421 is already 'middle' rather than 'early'. The list starts in 1291, and from then until 1360 there are no pike.

Best wishes,

Correct, it was a 1291 Swiss with only 8 BGs and no pike at all.

BTW Dave, I am not sure I have enough halberdiers to field an all halberd Swiss army. I will have to have a look and see what I can cobble together if you want to do that for Manchester. Off the top of my head I can think of about 30 halberdier bases in my medievals but that would still be 18 or more short.
