Lost my save files :-(

Post by fpulido »

My nephew accidentally deleted folders on my drive that contained my save files for all my panzer corps games and dlcs.

Despite my sons best abilities, it was well beyond the hope of recovering the files...so about 3 years worth of playing are totally and forever gone. Yes, I'm a very casual player.

I was about halfway way thru all the dlcs and the grand campaign...I would play a scenario at a time from each maybe once a week.

I absolutely love the game but don't have the time or inclination to start every one all over again...I'm tempted to just quit and not play.

The same thing happened to my witcher 3 game but luckily i was able to find a web site that had save files that had one that was pretty close to where my original game was and I was able to continue playing.

Do any such save files exist for panzer corp?? I am willing to try to mod them to make them close to what I had before. Any ideas??
:(

maybe you could use a hard drive recovery tool.

for example,

That's horrible!

What you could do is try taking the default core force that each DLC comes with and progress from there or share one with someone else in the community.

If he deleted the files they should be in the recycle bin and you should be able to recover them unless he emptied the bin and then you are at the point of using a disk recovery tool but you need to do it ASAP as every minute you run the PC after that you run the risk of corrupting the data.

I have saves (end of first/last turns) for most every scenario in each DLC/stand alone up through 8/11/43 (Messina scenario in GC 42-43W DLC) excluding the Sea Lion DLC, which I haven't started, and I could send you the last one of each if you'd like (or an earlier one if you haven't got that far). I'm also casual, don't get to play as much as I'd like and have a bad habit of being rash and stupidly losing units. They are on Colonel level of difficulty with 'normal' dice and reform units on, but you could change the difficulty at the end screen as well as using cheats to adjust prestige, experience, number of core units, etc. when you 'reform' your armies.

That would be amazing. I would love to have a copy of the files. I'll pm you my email address. Thank you very much!!
