Custom event pictures

Post by WWII44 »

Is there a way one can have custom images for event pop-ups in scenarios and how does one implement them?

Yes. Find the folder for the scenario you are working on, and simply drag an image into the scenario folder.

When you're in the Scenario Editor, type in the exact image file name where it states the image name in the scenario editor.

I am driving myself crazy... I can't get any images to show just a black box.

I looked at Erik's Norway scenario, the images are in .png format but Erik specifies the image filename without the extension.

I have tried it with and without the extension. It can't be a spelling mistake I have five different images for five triggers and none of them are displaying?

Is the scenario folder the same destination as you specify when saving? I get the map overlay to display in the editor, so I must be in the right folder.

Any help appreciated!

First, please answer this question. Are you attempting to view the images while still in the editor? That is, by launching the scenario in testing? Because for some reason you cannot view the pictures that way; it's a known bug in the scenario editor that's never been fixed. Try starting the scenario as normal from the game menu instead and see if your images appear. If so, then at least you know it's not your scenario.

You could sue the Aristocrats to court for reimbursement of medical expenses.

At this point, I might pay patongpanda's expenses if it meant the Artistocrats could stay in business and give me Afrika Korps! :)
