Kriegsmarine - Why No KM Upgrades?

Playing through the KM OOB, I am left wondering WHY there are no KM Upgrades of any type available? The USN gets upgraded ships and aircraft, why is the KM stuck with the same ship types that we start with in 1939? Certainly there could be upgrades for AA and in the case of the Sharnhorst BC's, why not the historical upgrade option that was looked at to up-gun them to 6x15"? Why not a naval version of the FW190? This is only database work and would not have taken too much effort? Why did these upgrades not make it into the DLC?

Yep, that’s undeniably a step down in quality. Even the retarded Deutschland-class battleships from 1906 got upgrades until 1945. Tirpitz, Scharnhorst, Hipper, Köln (Königsberg)… all these ships/classes got plenty upgrades during the war. At least we got so many upgrades for the destroyers and S-boats…yay!
