Game crashes loading custom scenario

It loads fine in the editor and everything appears OK.
In-game the scenario apparently loads, but crashes when I hit the continue button. Last tested in 3.3.6.
The map is large, but the number of units fairly small.

Scenario (minus graphics), crash report and output.log attached.

I'm getting an out of memory crash as well. I'll use this scenario as a test case to see if I can improve memory usage for large maps.

I'm kind of glad it is not just me
I know some players have problems loading certain large scenarios that other have no problems with. Probably PC-spec dependent as well.
I have a fairly powerful PC (although getting old of course) and this particular scenario is the first I have had problems loading.

It has happened to me a few times, usually 4-5 scenarios into a campaign in the Pacific game. Happens on either side. Very frustrating.

You need to zip files first to be able to attach them.
Some scenarios may not load on systems that are not powerful enough (RAM, maybe graphics card).
Hopefully adherbal will be able to tweak the game to eventually load the scenario in this thread. This should then benefit other large-map scenarios as well.

I have the stand alone Pacific game. Downloaded the free Battle Order: All the fights thingee two days ago and the game is much better. New units and the places to conquer are named, making them easy to find. I am old school ( and old) and really enjoy these turn based fights in Panzer General style.
