Lost Units

Post by terminator »

In the file efx.pzdat there are 3 units which do not exist :
- SS Panzer IA
- SS Panzer IB
- SS Panzer IIC
It's a pity because at the beginning of the war there is no special tank :(

I think a 38t (and 35t if you have that in your mods) would be a better option than a Panzer 1 or 2. The 1 and 2 were always recognised as training and development tanks rather than true combat vehicles, but the 35 and 38t were real tanks, and therefore much more suitable for an elite unit.

For German, there is an ambiguity between the terms SE and SS.

What is the exact meaning of "SE" for bonus units :?:

-(1) Super Elite ?
-(2) Special Elite ?
-(3) Super Equipment ?
-(4) Special Equipment ?
-(5) Super Edition ?
-(6) Special Edition ?
-(7) Sexy Equipment ?

What is the good answer? Other suggestions?

Well all the SSVT units active in Poland were infantry, artillery, or recon. If you want them to have some special armoured units, maybe move the availability of the Panzer III E up by a few months? They didn't go into production until October, but hey this is all alternate history after all.

Officially I think it is number 2, Special Elite.

However, number 7 could be appropriate if anyone made this mod

In this case this SE Panzer III E becomes a prototype.
