Hi All
Some questions on commanders. These are probably in some obvious place in the rules, but I can't see them:
1. If a commander is with a BG, and has declared himself to be in combat, can he still have a positive effect on BGs (for cohesion tests) in LOC within his range?
2. Can the same commander, who is in combat, rally the BG that he is with (assuming said BG have not dropped a level in the current turn)
3. Same commander, his BG has broken and the enemy is still in contact - can he continue to try to rally them until they autobreak?
4. Can a commander who has joined a BG in the current joint action phase rally that battle group immediately in the current joint action phase?
5. An allied commander is killed. Apart from the morale test on BG in range, and the fact that they can't claim any bonuses on rolls for commander in LOC, is there any other effect on the troops that in his LOC and are now leaderless?
6. Is there any DBM-style risk of allies changing sides?
Thanks

A commander in combat can only affect the BG he is with.BraveInca wrote:Hi All

Yes.

A routing BG cannot be bolstered if there are enemy within 6MU - and enemy in contact are well within 6MU
3. Same commander, his BG has broken and the enemy is still in contact - can he continue to try to rally them until they autobreak?
Yes
4. Can a commander who has joined a BG in the current joint action phase rally that battle group immediately in the current joint action phase?
No. Trust me having no commander able to bolster you is enough of an effect
5. An allied commander is killed. Apart from the morale test on BG in range, and the fact that they can't claim any bonuses on rolls for commander in LOC, is there any other effect on the troops that in his LOC and are now leaderless?
6. Is there any DBM-style risk of allies changing sides?
No.

7. A commander has double-moved with a BG in the movement phase. Can he still move and/or rally in the joint action phase?
