3: is done in units.csv (i find excel helpful for this), and you need to add a line to .../content/languages/english (or german, seeing as you wrote in german) for unit_xxxx where xxxx is the line you entered into the csv.

For instance: a "french engineer 1940" unit

french_engineer_1940;25;25;france;land;infantry;US_Flamethrower_41 0.14 -0.08, US_Engineer_41 -0.14 0.08, ;Infantry;;engineeridle;engineermove;;engineerattack;;;foot;1/1/1940;;Freng;200;2;;4;1;1;0;100;;4;;10;7;;;;;;;;;infantry;infantry;8;6;;;;;;7;8;;14;18;12;;explosives,bridgeBuilder,tunneling,concealable,minelayer,minesweeper,minelayer,entrenchSupport,;;;

(this is something I modded in an old version, so some of the lines aren't in the right position any more. And no, I'm not uploading the unit.)

The "25" in the second line will assign the unit as unit_25 (although I think this is taken up by something else in the base game, like Jap inf or something). So in language/english or language german, you will add the line

unit_25 = French Engineer 1940

then when France is selected, you should be able to choose this unit.

The simple answer is: because it is not a unit editor, but one for editing maps and scenarios. That is similar in many other games.

If you want to say that modding in general should be enhanced, well I don't have a problem with that.

Hi Bebro, that is exactly what I would like to ask with questions 1, 3 and 4.
I have there as a reference panzer corps and panzergeneral in the head, which have much, which I miss in this game and retrofit
