Little High casualties in 1941 . But main casualties will be around Moscow . The main defense line in the east ?Cybvep wrote:This looks good for the Axis. How high are the Red Army's casualties? Where is Supermax's main defence line in the East?
the present game engine is almost balance . I think the only problem is the Cavalvy ! It is quite unreasonable to have such a big group of cavalvy as Axis in 1941 ! there should be millions of war horse !!! what will they eat ? How to supply them ? So it seems need some proper adjustment !duncanr wrote:the new Axis Barbarossa is nearly impossible to stop, an easy run up to it and lots of CAV is close to impossible to stop, lots of new thinking required for allies
The number of horses would not have been the problem, nor supplying them. The Wehrmacht relied heavily on horses for logistics throughout the war, and Operation Barbarossa started with 700,000 horses! Apparently, horses were also one of the few resources available to the Wehrmacht that showed little or no shortage until the very end of the war.Morris wrote:the present game engine is almost balance . I thought the war horse are quite different from the horse for logistic jobs . The logistic horses were usually stay behind the front , but war horse should be the lead troop . In real history , the logistic burden was always the weakpoint of Axis in Russia . If they would have to supply more additional food for millions of horse at the fronts which move forward rapidly everyday ! It would be a total disaster .eisenkopf wrote:The number of horses would not have been the problem, nor supplying them. The problem with cavalry units is that while being mobile, they do not form good frontline combat units. They are suited for reconnaissance and fighting partisans in difficult terrain. If they would have been effective against entrenched infantry in frontline combat, I am sure the Wehrmacht would have made them an integral part of their doctrine (given the shortage of vehicles).
