Heroes Campaign next?

Post by Erasermarek »

After Panzercorps, US Corps, Allied Corps, Soviet Corps... i hope you are not finish with your work :) Someone say next we need Japan or France but i dont think so.. We need more something specific... and hard. I call it heroes campaign... for example more focus on great battle in WW2. 15-20 campaign mission for Stalingrad - Paulus. 30-35 campaign mission for Rommel. 10-15 campaing mission for Operation Typhoon (Moscow), 2nd battle for Kharkov also deserve more mission... SE campaign! For alternative ending you need whole time DV not only in some mission. Behind enemy lines campaign focused on fight in deep enemy territory... hidden objective, side mission, ...

I think that's an interesting idea. I don't know if the Slitherine team is up for it though.

There's plenty of possibilities & potential for other campaigns - either historical or based on an alternate history.

In my vision, its series of companies, named as "Generals at War": (Guderian, Zhukov, Mannstein, Rokossowski, Montgomery, Patton, Konev and so).

And second ideas : "Division's Path ..."
I try to start it in my future mod: "German 3-th Pz.Division's Path" (From Poland'39 to Austria'45).
When im died - I must be a killed.

Maybe you all remember the Panzer General 3 with Generals campaign (long, short,...). This is good idea for PzC... Different maps (for example Rommel - France, Africa,...), different difficulty (Manstein in 1943-1944 or Guderian 1939-1945). Also Patton campaing looks promising. Zhukov... Konev not so much maybe Montgomery. This generals get some bonus equipment but with some problems (Rommel short on tanks and fuel, Manstein less airpower, Guderian less infrantry.. etc.) Hereos or Generals will be on map! Of course with bonus (like other hereos) but after lost this unit campaign is over. Different paths! 3-4 possible end of this campaign (Guderian is quick enough to take Moscow in 1941? Why not. Manstein break the siege of Stalingrad? Kursk is taken?... etc.). Patton take Berlin in 1944? Zhukov made to Paris?... you still can make so many paths and great fun.

But remember this will be also campaign when you must wait for really hard mission... (maybe not with Manstein).

Stalingrad campaign start quick with hard to harder mission... Every map will be hell on earth. Same with the Sevastopol or 2nd Kharkov.
