Captured Units - Leningrad 41

Post by ceandersen »

Sorry guys, but I do not understand the "Leningrad41" scenario.
I made all my efforts to capture Rudanfort at 14.1, okay, the units appear, but I can not do anything with them and they are not part of my main core of troops, ie they do not accompany me to the next scenario .
Because of that I ask, what's the use of capturing the fort? What is the purpose of these units? (It's like a joke)

Hi, it is a designers little Joke, some times called an "easter Egg" there are more, they are not designed as real additions to your core just a bit of fun. personally I have not ever gone for that one as the cost of getting it always seamed not worth the benefit. there are others, in the US campaign if you put a unit on the top of mount Vesuvius you gain another core unit (a recon). Fun to find but not worth taking hits!

I have the same feeling as yours ... fun, one more challenge ... but no practical result.
Thanks for answering.
