Hi Roger - great diagram - thanks.

We tried to cover this is the Umpire clarifications published in January 2015. This link should work if you've not seen them.

The answer is yes - all of the portable defences are retained whilst at least 1 base remains in contact with them.

Thanks for that Pete i hadn't seen the clarifiation, i have some more questions on PD's but i will put them as a separate topic
