Screen Resolution

Post by eugenemcardle »

Hi, can i run Spartan at 1280x800, either in a window or full screen?
Does Gates Of Troy run at higher resolutions also? I need to know before I purchase game or not
Thanks

Both games run at 1024x768 resolution, but you can choose to run them in a window. E.g. if your desktop is limited to 1280x800 resolution, you can still run the games at 1024x768 but they will not fill the screen. Hope that helps!

For those of us that are computer ignorant, how do you run Gates of Troy in a window instead of fullscreen?

You need to go to the directory that the game is installed to. Then go into the DATA directory you will find there. Open the USER.TXT file and add the following line

FULLSCREEN 0

then save the file and run the game. You should be in a window! Be sure that the desktop is set to 16 bit, otherwise you will see purple and green mess :)

Ok i did that and it's still fullscreen but when i hit that key between Ctrl and Alt that looks like a flag it shows the open windows at the bottom of the screen instead of minimizing the whole game like it usually did. Is that how that is supposed to work? Thanks for your help.

If your windows desktop is 1024x768 then that is probably correct, yes.
