Countryside territory and differents type of movements

Post by Yrfin »

As I see in game, Countryside type of the territory differs from Clear of the territory only in representation and appearance (different overlays and same movements). From my point of view of Countryside the type of the territory must to have penalty on the movement of the motorized units (I think about 30%).

Also I think of need to enter additional type of the movement for heavy tanks (Heavy-tank move) and T-34 tanks (extended Tank move).

And one more small thing - penalty for tanks units at movements in City (-1 move).

How you think, these changes will not destroy balance in game?

I think they are very good ideas! For example you can make heavy tanks unable to cross rivers without help of a bridge engineer unit, etc...About game balance, it is a question of testing...

Indeed !
And also Heavy Tanks can't climb more to Mountains, and with big problems move to Dunes and Hills.
Sorry, Matilda II and Tigers drivers. -200.

And T-34 will be move better then Pz III/IV in Muddy/Winter weather.

Again, I completely agree! The T-34 had much better mobility on snow-covered terrain than anything the Germans had on their side... At least, at the start of Barbarossa.
