Useless types territory in PzC.

Post by Yrfin »

1.Countryside - looking different then Clear, but same movement.
2. High Mountain - looking good, but absolutly useless.
3. Thick Forest- what for this type of forest ?
4. Strait - I see it one time (AK, if i remember correcty)

So, what for this useless types of territory need ?

PS And I forgot about Rivers - looking like every Tank can swim :(

How can "types of territory" be 'useless'? Geography can't really be altered too much before it becomes unrealistic.

High Mountains are different to regular mountains because they represent impassable ones, like in the Alps. In contrast, regular mountains (such as those in Norway or areas of Carpathia) can be traversed, only it is difficult to do so.

Thick Forest is much the same - some forests can be travelled through (like the ones in Russia, near Moscow and Novgorod), while some can't (thicker parts of Ardennes)

Straits allow people to have tiles usable by both ground and naval units. Mostly these are in mods, but it gives designers more flexibility.

Rivers are an important part of military tactics. The outcome of many battles has been altered by the mere presence of one on the battlefield. Arnhem was a strategic attack for control over one.

Also, why do you keep posting all these "such and such list is useless stuff"? Isn't it more fun to focus on the good parts of a game?

I don't think mountains particularly care what is thought of them. Despite the consternation of generals throughout time...

They always have the argument of "I'm bigger than you :P ", so they don't have to!

Im Dutch - perhaps you give another clue as to what you try to express? ;-)

By "Useless" I mean: "needs to be improved".

For example:
Countryside territory must have different movement then Clear.
When im died - I must be a killed.

The game has been out far too long for anyone to significantly alter something like that. It would upset the balance of literally every campaign released thus far, which is quite a lot.
