Is there a way to select from a list of all units rather than fixed lists or random lists both of which are flawed.
Let's say I play orcs and I have a mob with Gretchen and my opponent has heavy armour then the game won't be balanced ?

Re: Unrestricted Army Lists
No. Force Organization is currently this game's Achilles Heel. Force Organization needs to be completely redone so we can have unit choices to buy what we want and not whatever random junk the list generates. This is posted already in the Wishlist thread.

It is on our list to look at guys!
Re: Unrestricted Army Lists
That's fantastic.
I want to add that the game is amazing and I know a lot of hard work and effort has gone in to producing it.

Re: Unrestricted Army Lists
Thanks, IainMcNeil.
Also, wargear that's earned through campaigns adds such flavor and richness to the units and are so well done... would you also consider allowing us to choose them for our Force Organization units in Skirmishes for predetermined points separate from the Force Points?
Thanks.
EDIT: my idea would be to have 3 toggles for force organization. One would be unrestricted. We spend points on whatever we wish. If we want to field 5 Titans, we can. (Titans are so fun!) Second toggle is something more limited, but allows us to field the units we like, for example, 3 @ of every unit type from Artillery to Skimmer with troop choices at 6 and the third toggle be random like it is now where we are forced to use what's at hand and make do. TY!
And the last but not least Force Organization idea, let us pick the troops for the AI in Skirmish. That way I can use the above three toggles to coax the AI into fielding the kind of opposition I want to oppose me.
If you guys did all that... oh man you'd kick the fun of this game into OVERDRIVE.

I would like a 'recommended' army list option, where the computer automatically generates a viable force list at the click of a button given the Force Points amount. And those lists should include a HQ, Troop choice, Heavy Support, etc.. with variations of ratios between each troop type category.
AND the ability to save an army list for future use without having to make it all over again please.

Letting users pick their upgrades is also on the wish list but how it would work is very much TBD.

I'd like to see Points for Wargear as a toggle that has separate points from the Force Points. But yeah, how do you distribute the wargear to your units? That's a tough one.IainMcNeil wrote:Letting users pick their upgrades is also on the wish list but how it would work is very much TBD.
Well, I hope you guys completely redo the Force Organization list because we all want to be able to choose whatever it is we want and however many we want from a list that has all the units, not just some, but every one listed. So whenever you guys get around to doing that, maybe you can also figure out a way to easily drag and drop or select and click wargear on those units.
Good luck!

Re: Unrestricted Army Lists
One way to do it could be to put a pop-up check box list of all possible wargear and upgrades for each unit type. When the player clicks the box (s) to select wargear and upgrades, the price in points goes up. Pop-up info boxes explaining what each upgrade does would be ideal.IainMcNeil wrote:Letting users pick their upgrades is also on the wish list but how it would work is very much TBD.
