The 'pitch' of the camera angle is locked to prevent it from tilting up so when you zoom in, the camera is pointed down at the ground and you can never see what your model sees. If you would like to be able to adjust your camera angle so you can rotate it up and see a level view of the battlefield, edit the following and make sure you make a backup of your file in case you mess it up.
In the Data folder, you'll find a text file called Mapview.txt Open it and edit the 'PITHCLIMIT' from 10 to 35. This will now allow you to 'tilt' the camera up and see level so you can zoom in and tilt up and see what your model sees. Just a quick edit that gives you a less restrictive camera and access to more cinematic screenshot possibilities.

Well I can't find any folder that says Data. My Steam application is in C:\Users\Documents\My Games/santus under which they are dir's for
autodocs campains multiplayer saves and screens with user.txt and options.txt.
wHERE ARE YOU LOOKING? I would love this to work

Tweaks.txt under autodocs looks like fun. I assume 0 means yes and 1 = no.
Do these variables affect the game as one is 1024 x a 768 resolution which is NOT what I am running.
I guess I am looking for the line of code that Pike and Shot has which lets me set higher/lower zooms and angle of view.

Youre looking in the documents folder. Its not in there. Its in the install directory. Pay attention where you install things.beserko wrote:Well I can't find any folder that says Data. My Steam application is in C:\Users\Documents\My Games/santus under which they are dir's for

Re: How to change your camera angle to get a models eye view
OK got it now. I had run out of space on D.(my 1 tera ) steam was on my D drive and it had changed the directory path to C (my SSD)
I found steamapps in Program files(X86) and under common it listed some of my Steam games. Santus was not one of them.
After reading your note and scratching my head I looked again and found a new dir called steam2 just hanging in C .
Santus was in there. Thanks alot!
I am usually very careful where I put things but this was a Steam thing .
