still not sure why melee units can approach and not get reaction fire when facing the correct way and the unit has reaction shot left as well, it seems to be when the unit who approaches does a move with a melee action at the end, and doesn't get fired upon, if it's a move only, they do, but if it ends with a melee attack, units doesn't fire which is correct facing and in range

Bug Fix – Unit would not reaction fire if the target was in melee range of an allied unit.
so not still so sure about the one above
seems either a 2 hex to zero is too little, which is odd, or something else in the mix i'm maybe not understanding

reaction shots in melee attack aren't still working either 
but camera and side panning works better imo reaction shots seems to take place at random points, like shown, these units flew in and over a obstacle, and imo should have been targeted sooner, but anyway, it happens, but now 2 units use there reaction shots, except the one who it in the first place targeted for melee action, and which also had the ability and shots and points left over to do a reaction shot, and was facing the correct way for it, wouldn't matter which unit i placed there tbh, as it's the same all the time, the unit which a move then melee action is going to take place on, doesn't fire it's reaction shot, and just sits there and waits to be attacked, if it had it's back to the unit i could understand the move and not firing, but when face is correct, action points left, and reaction points not used, i can't, so this hasn't fixed it for me either.
4 tries with 3 different units, same outcome.

unit has aimed a melee attack as it's right at it's unit of choice, can tell as they when i fire my reaction shots, or the AI does, but late imo tbh

and it caused friendly fire because of it, as one unit of mine still fired even though it could see one of it's own in front at this range and still missed and did damage, imo shot shouldn't have been taken, because reaction shot should have been when first in range, not at the point of the melee attack range, as shown again, as it seems to be, not once now in 5 tests has any unit pulled up short and fired, so it's all in melee attacks,
shown to still be not working.
hope this is enough developers, or i can do some more testing, or wait to see what the other reactions are to the patch and update regarding feedback and comments

this is when the trigger for reaction shots should have been taken, when in first range and view, so not too close that i can or does take or make melee attacks, as this is what happens in other games, leaving it how it is, doesn't make sense to me, as nobody would let a unit get this close before firing either?
and then and only then once closer
most have a shot at the first point shown, 2 units don't mind you so would fire if it got past the first volley

when working correctly, reaction fire is devastating to the Orc's, and maybe somewhat overkill at times, but game balance still for some units is still off for me anyway, with some being too weak for there costs, and others being to powerful for there's, and worse of all, is units with no melee at 0 range, and can't still fire there ranged weapons, so have no chance in melee and can't retreat either, so any number of small units can take out the largest units on both sides, apart from the uber trucks the Orc's have that are way overboard on the armored states imo
proper skirmish where you pick from a total list and make a choice, and same for online will imo make it a classic game.

then some more, but it moves before the last one, which imo shouldn't still happen, as the unit it wants to have melee with, also could have and should have fired a reaction shot, but again didn't, and waits to be attacked for no reason i can see or rule applied either
so again one unit ends up in melee when it had a reaction shot and the range and time to take it, but for some reason only god knows, doesn't, and wait to be hit first before it replies in melee, and doesn't use it reaction shot when it could

again no reaction shots from any units, as there flyers descend out of thin air it seems, as it passes 4 units which in range and had reaction shots but not one fired, but again the flyers are in for a melee attack

so again can see it doesn't work, until in melee, they why bother? as it's too close and too late, with no tank fire or like iv'e shown and said, no other unit joining in what so ever

so my forces are made to retreat with losses, in only pride mind you, but if my line had fired in the first place, this sorry unit wouldn't be behind my line, but dead in front of it

will carry on testing this over the weekend, but i can't find any reason to not release it, as it makes the game better, and as of yet doesn't that i can find make anything worse

wrong upgrade as well, unless fixed in latest build, as i'm back on the 1.00 version, so maybe wrong, but posted it anyway

Thanks Zak. Reaction fire is trying to be clever and save shots for better chances but it just looks broken so we think it needs to change.

thanks, and agreed, when this alters, the game will really rock, it's great atm, but with a few minor changes, balance and play ability will really improve, so it's growing and really starting to shine, great game and thanks for the feedback boss
