Khurasan Miniatures Sarmatians - triple A!

Post by fredrik »

I bought a couple f packs (well, some 30+ bases worth...) of the Alan/Sarmatian figures from Khurasan Miniatures recently and I can only say WOW! Great miniatures, very well sculpted and cast, hardly any cleaning at all to do from the looks of them.

Now the problem is a purchase based only on curiosity has snowballed into plans for a complete 800 point Early Alan army. Oh deary me... The upside is I got my painting inspiration back, so I'll paint up a couple of lancer units up to see how they'll look before I take the plunge.

I'm glad to read that you liked them--I'm waiting their Late Imperial Roman range with baited breath :D

Hehehehe, dude, the word you want is "bated"

"Baited" would be if like you had worms or salmon eggs in your mouth :()

I don't get how anybody eats caviar.

I just don't see the difference between Beluga that's priced higher than gold, and the stuff I buy in a jar at the bait & tackle store for three dollars.

I painted up the first BG of lancers yesterday, I'll be sure to post some pictures when the bases are done. :)

Hi Fredrik
I did the same with the Khurasan Khurasanians, and bought a 600 point Seljuke army. The pics of the Alans though left me a bit undecided about the horses. The Khurasanians were incredibly well detailed and beautifully modeled so I have a high expectation. Some painted pics would be good.

Thanks for the tip on this manufacturere.

I have been hearing good thinfs.

If they are looking for requests - corner the market, produce dedicated miniatures for the later Medieval Scandanavian armies (particularly the Swedes) - that is all.
Later Carthaginians (853 pts)
Medieval Swedish (591 pts)
Later Achm'd Persian (424 pts)

I think I remember him saying he had a sculptor doing something in that Scandinavian Medieval thing.....not certain though.
