I hope the Italians get more attention with an upcoming North Africa addon. Can’t wait to jump into the sand dunes with Rommel & Co. This will finally provide all needed terrain settings for whatever scenario then. This will also finally give the opportunity to properly use the sand camos on vehicles.

Yep, they don't currently even have a truck.

BTW, there are still a few terrain options missing IMO.
I'd like to see a major river. Non-fordable by regular units, but engineers should still be able to place a pontoon bridge. There are a lot of scenarios that could benefit from this.
At some point (Normandy '44 at least), a bocage type must be added. I've noticed the PzC scenarios use it extensively in the 1940 campaign.
Also, a permanent fortified type of terrain that benefit all units moving onto it. The max fortification level (including unit's fortification) should be set in the editor.
I'd like to be able to sprinkle both jungle and western light forest on whole hexes. Not just the mostly hex-side decor we have now. The difficult/mountain terrains were often covered with thress, especially in the Pacific.

Yep, it bothers me too if every single unit can cross every river. There is no difference between a stream and a true, deep river.
I miss the fortification tile from PzC too. The battlefields in OOB usually look too clean and unprepared. Too much is depended on the entrenchment level of each unit and placing some minefields in often a too hasty matter for lots of cash.
Mountains in OOB look quite ugly. The difference between mountain and high-mountain in PzC is and looks much better, but I guess the dirty hill in OOB just serves best for 3d units on top of them.
I’ve modified the stats of the terrain types a bit, for example added a sight block to the farmland and added a 10% cover. Wheel units also got more trouble moving over this soft-terrain type. I didn’t want to overdo it for farmland to basically create a bocage. That special terrain is naturally a must in late-war scenarios.

Yeah, I wish the difficult terrain was a bit more scruffy. That would make the transition to mountains better.
There's a lot of flexibility in creating mountain ranges, you need to use the mountain hex-sides to create some interesting valleys. A high-peak version traversable for mountain infantry-only would be a nice addition.
