Naval Battle Airpower Efficiency

Post by hrafnkolbrandr »

I am trying to put together a purely naval scenario, and despite having plenty of fuel, the aircraft in the scenario begin losing efficiency as if they were out of supply.

Some of the carriers are being hit by strategic bombers. Would this cause the (already airborne) air units to lose supply?

What am I missing here?

Maybe you have too few carriers/airfields compared to the number of airfields. Supply will be low and this lowers efficiency.

Carriers loose air-based supply points when damaged, while other ships possibly land-based supply points. You will see yellow or even red numbers on them if damaged when you press space-key.

Yep, that is what it was. It doesn't seem correct that the aircraft already in the air should lose efficiency from this. Wouldn't it make more sense to reduce after they have landed and taken off again?

The system allows air units staying in the air for a large number of turns. I think it is OK that they suffer supply issues whenever they occur. Otherwise you could have a 13-14 turn delay for units recently launched.
