Panzer Corps Tournament - THE FINAL!

Well with the weekend down it is not going well on the battlefront.

My back has been broken, in the game, and I have lost all of my best units and am floundering now.

Sorry, I should have said as soon as I did it.
I surrendered last night as he officially broke me, I only had 2 Main Objectives left.

Even though I did not win as Misterno out played me,  I am extremely honored to have made it this far and I will still detail a day by day of my loss on the forum for anyone interested.

Ok Day by Day of Epic Final Battle.

Day 1: Moved Forward all units seizing towns that I could.
Bought 2 FW190a's to rule the air.
In the North I bought a Panther G and 8rad and Elephant.
In the South I bought another Panther G I am saving 2 spots for defensive purposes once I seize main Objectives and hold them.

Day 2: Misterno seized Khirgiz and Eastern Belorussian town.
I got first blood by destroying Reg inf in a truck in Khirgiz. I also seized some towns and tried setting up traps.

Day 3: Traps did not work as this was a bad round for me.
Misterno destroyed Grenadier in a halftrack, FW190a, and Pz4H.
Tried to retaliate and destroyed Bridge Engineer in half track, 2 BA-64's, and SU-85. Seized Zabuki and it's airfield as well as Khirgiz and it's airfield.
Ok it is at this point that I had the lead in primary objectives and should have spent time and effort preventing him from overwhelming my already held areas, and only go on the attack once I broke his back, not put myself out there to get my back broken. It is what I do in turn 5 that I should not have done but I was eager to win and based on the long wait time between rounds I let my eagerness influence me to make mistakes that cost me this game. I am not sure if this is what Misterno intended but he played me like a Stradivarius and I was simply the instrument of his wrath and domination.

Day 4: Another Rough Round for me as I watch myself lose 2 FW190a's, Panther G, Stug3G, and recon.
Let's see what I can do, and that's the problem I continue to attack, instead of rebuilding and luring him into possible traps.
Destroyed 2 Yak-3's, ISU-122, BA-64, I was even able to pressure the center most Belorussian town, as I am continuing to try and press the initiative instead of allowing myself to regroup.
I bought STUH42 and reg Grenadier next to the belorussian central town that I hold and a Kradschutzen in my Northern Polish Town.

Day 5
2 of my inf were destroyed. So what why do I think I need to retaliate. I should have accepted the losses and work to rebuild areas I hold now, but no I press the attack and put my self out there to get isolated and destroyed. Stupid Stupid Stupid.
Destroyed Gerbisjager and Reg Inf in central most Polish Town. Bought 3 inf to replace lost unitsand still have 1 empty slot.

Day 6
Here is where I start to really hurt because he destroys a panther and an Elephant.
I destroy Guards and BA-64 and seized that North central Polish town.
I bought 2 8.8's to maybe set up trap and help with counter attack.
This leaves me again with 1 open slot.

Day 7
Misterno shot down FW190a, destroyed Marder 3, Kradschutzen, Grenadier, and Stug4.
It is at this point that I realize I have lost this game.
Nothing left to do except beg for mercy, but hey I was able to destroy 1 of his BA-64's.

Day 8:
He destroyed another Panther, 8.8, and reg inf.
I destroyed yet another BA-64 and T-34/85.
Bought 2 8.8's in the North and Gerbisjager in the South.

Day 9.
Misterno destroyed 2 Gerbisjager's, 8.8, and STUH42, oh yeah and even one of my Tiger's.
Just getting annihilated. It is at this point that I just cry, not really but it sounds about right.

Day 10:
Misterno now has destroyed my King Tiger.
I was able to destroy one of his Mt. Inf and ISU-122.

Day 11
Misterno now able to destroy my SE Panther, Gerbisjager, 8.8 and Reg Inf.
I am on last leg and just buying out of desperation.

Day 12
Misterno destroyed 8.8 and Uber Grenadier and my Reg Inf.
I destroyed 85mm in half track and 152mm arty in half track.

Day 13:
He destroyed another Elephant.
I was able to sneak towards a Major Objective.

Day 14:
He Destroyed 2 Elephants and Grenadier.
The rush is finally coming as he seized a couple of cities including the Main Objective Khirgiz.
I was able to destroy a Guards unit and Recon but he has stopped me from seizing the Major City.

Day 15:
Misterno Destroyed Tiger, Pz3N, Bridge Engineer, 8.8, and Wespe.
Day 16:
He destroyed Reg Inf, SE Grenadier, recon, and Panther as well as seized another 2 Major Objectives. This left me with 2 left so I surrendered.

That is the way I got my A** handed to me and let it be a lesson to you all do not get cocky and over stretch your forces.

Still had a blast and am stepping back a little from Multiplayer, still trying to play rounds with others here and there, but am trying to start concentrating more on my Single Player game, which is getting a lot of conversation's here:

Wow,what a tournament that was,very challenging I must say. Lots of respect to all opponents I encountered,all of them outstanding players,made my brain overheat at times.Great honor for me to become 2016 champion of Panzer Corps!
As a fan of tactical/strategy games I played various titles and my opinion is that this one is a gem among this genre,hence I have to express my admiration to the developers! However, I think the game can be further upgraded and this battle style incorporated into a grand strategy game...so,a lot of potential still in it. Multiplayer tournaments are great events for the game because some of us are truly bored by AI.
