New Unit Traits (2.9.6d)

Post by Horst »

I’ve noticed a couple of new unit traits in units.csv (2.9.6d) and would like to know or clarify their purpose:

heavyTreated: while lightTreated reduces the terrain disruption by half (rounded-down), the heavy version doubles the terrain disruption (-2 for Jungle becomes -4)
By the way, there are also still lightThreaded and heavyThreaded traits in the units file, but I haven’t tested yet if all work in the game.
quickEntrench: paratroopers can dig-in as fast as engineers now, but unlike with Digger trait, they can’t help adjacent units the same way. Digger and quickEntrench effects aren’t cumulative.
transportRequired: forces to additionally purchase a compatible transport for the unit. Pre-placed units without transport can still move around the map normally.

lightFreight: planned as air-transport feature but not implemented yet?

supplyResilient: that old trait got wiped from paratroopers who use the fuel setting as countdown now before they are out of supply. The trait should still work though.

Vickers_MkF_Finland and T-26_m1939_finland got the trait rmPurchase. Typo or a special purchase condition? I can still purchase a unit with that strange trait normally.

lightFreight > can be unloaded from a train on any hex.

rmPurchase > only available in skirmish mode (or random map = rm)
