Mouse-Wheel Scroll Speed

Post by Horst »

I haven't played for some time and got a new mouse (G402) meanwhile, but noticed now that the scroll speed of the mouse-wheel is too fast in the unit-purchase screen. It jumps about 4 rows up and down skipping units between. This is uncomfortable with unit types that require transports that limit the purchase screen to only two unit rows. Using the scroll-slider is the only useful option there.
Changing the mouse settings of Windows didn't change anything in the game. A smoother, slower wheel-ride in the purchase menu there couldn't hurt. Zoom-speed of the map with the wheel is fine.

ok, lets try and rule out hardware first, as it's not something i have an issue with or been reported as such,

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 )
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post.

Try the following:
Delete the Settings folder that can be found in the Windows documents folder at:
...\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2
Run the game and check if the issue persists.

Deleting the settings didn't help. This doesn't look like a problem on my side but rather the game's coding. And maybe I've posted such suggestion is the wrong forum or does wheel-scrolling in the purchase screen behaves differently for someone else?
