after purchasing new DLC.
This happened before with the last DLC.
PC version from steam.

I cannot seem to figure out how to install the patch I've seen on this forum.

I've deleted the settings folder
I've tried your patch from here, it doesn't work
I've tried renaming the folder and alas I'm still stuck after 7 days of not being able to play this game even though I could before the new DLC.

then delete the folder Order of Battle - WW2 in (your pc my doc's etc)

your progress with steam will be saved, but your saved games won't be, but as you haven't played it, it's not much of an issue, then reinstall the game in steam which will auto add everything including the patches and DLC's you own

No holding Ctr trick didn't work, I tried that twice and it crashed both times after changing the resolution etc..
I'm currently doing as zakblood posted...installing now.

lowing the graphics in game and the resolution may help as the developer says, Dedicated Memory: 64 MB, which is then taken almost 2gb of shared system memory when you only have 4gb in total, doesn't leave much for the system either, my advice would be to add in a card and more memory.

after looking at your spec, on the spec sheet it did say it has already a 512mb card in some of the models, so maybe an idea to go into the bios and see if it's enabled, as even that low amount extra would help with the game imo.

next step is more drastic and means going into selective start up and disabling background tasks one by one to free up some system resources, to give your pc a bit more power.

also go into power and sleep mode and change settings to high performance and save and exit and reboot and see if that and all above helps more

According to your DxDiag it's almost 2 years old so there may be an update available. Sadly Intel(R) HD Graphics cards aren't really suited for 3D games either.

I've tried to update my graphics card, it says it is updated. I might also be doing something wrong.
What do you do to update the graphics card drivers (be specific please, where do I go besides letting my PC do it automatically?).

Click the "win64_154510.4542.exe" button on this page. I believe that is the latest driver for your graphics card.

As for why it stopped working since the latest patch, I'm not sure. I believe we may have applied a Unity update since the previous one which may change some things that are beyond our control.
