adding extra units

I am playing order of battle blitzkrieg, is there anyway I can add extra units to the battle field?
Plus I sometimes see a blue cross in a hex what does this mean?

not really a tech support question, more of a lack of understanding the game, so better to ask in main, but the tutorial & manual will explain more or most of what's needed

first you can add units into any battle as long as you have credit and command points and space for them, about the cross, for almost anything in the game hover the mouse over it and a tool tip will show up, and all guides are in the manual, and also the tutorials.

i don't own the addon, so don't have access to it, to double check i'm sorry to say, but in each addon, there is a guide, a readme or tutorial and tool tips for all the added new bits, good luck and enjoy the game

The blue cross means your units are out-flanking the targeted enemy unit and your units get a combat bonus in the attack.
A red cross means your unit is outflanked. If I remember correctly it could also mean that an enemy AT-unit is supporting the defending unit against your armor attack.

It also appears when an allied/enemy fighter is escorting a bomber
