Mouse Not working

Post by TZombie »

When I get past the intro screen into the menu selection (Play, Basics, Settings, Tutorial etc.) my cursor stays in the middle of the screen. When I move the move the mouse the cursor only moves a little bit and the snaps back to the center. I'm running Win 10. Thanks.

Hi TZombie!

We had this issue when there was another controller attached to our computer. See if you have a joystick or any kind of controller attached and let me know if this fixed your issue.

Thanks!

Weird then. Can you upload here the output_log.txt file found in:

InstallationFolder/Moscow_Data

This might help us discover any errors. You might have to archive it in a .zip before uploading as the website might deny .txt files.

I am running Windows 10 myself and it works for me. Was this problem present in version 1.04 as well?

Thanks!

That file is not present in the folder and yes I had the mouse problem in 1.04 also.

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 )
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post.

Ran dxdiag and figured it out! Under the Input tab I had my mouse and keyboard but also running was a virtual joystick. It's an app called Touch Pilot and I used that with my Kindle when running Flight Sim X. It allowed me to change the flaps and access functions I assigned to the various buttons. Even though I wasn't currently using it it must have been running in the background.

Thank you very much for your help! You were spot on when you said there must be another controller in the system.

Now off to Moscow....

Thanks again!
