Problem with the game, please help

i have a problem,please help. When i start the game ,everything fine and i just click start the tutorial campaign. then ,it bring me to a battlefield with rome. Then it ask to move certain army to certain location, right. Then after a few second the game hang in the battlefield and it did not move. It just hang there, but u still can hear the music. I have everything upgrade already but stiil didn't work. I realy appreciate if anybody can help me.

My comp spec:

pentium 4 2.8ghz
512Ram
ATI RADEON 9200SE 128MB
80gb
window xp service pack 2

Can you check if your drivers are up to date. This often causes such problems.

yeah, i just uprade my driver yesterday but still have problem.

If the game runs ok until that point, my guess would be that the installer failed to work correctly. You could trying uninstalling the game, deleting any files left in the install directory, and installing the game again.

tried but still have the same problem although i reinstall it few times.I realy want to play this game, please help.

It happened sometimes to me too, and it was my "old" antivirus who crashed the game.

Do you have an antivirus and/or firewall running in the background? any other software there in the background? Try swtiching them off.

DirectX sometimes causes problems. Usually it fails completely in this situation so I doubt that's it, but can you run the dxdiag.exe and let us know what version of DirectX you have installed. See the sticky post at the top of this forum.

there's a shortcut to it, if you hit Start->Run, then type DXDIAG and then hit enter. It should show you what you want. Hope this helps.

Hi Chan,

when exactly does it crash and what happens when it crashes - what do you see? Are you still in the tutorial? If you are, are you sure you obeyed all the instructions? It might be that teh tutorial is waiting for you to do something and has not crashed?

it crash when im just a few second in the game in the battlefield with rome. Wheni didn't do anything, it wont crash. It crash few second after i move the army to certain location. And im sure my direct x have no problem cause i can play other direct x 9.0c game just fine such as AOE III, NFS MW. I cannot do anything cause when i do something , it will crash few second later. First time i experience this problem.

Can you tell me exactly what happens when it crashes. I need to know if the screen goes black, or the mouse stops working or something else happens. Please give as much information as possible.

oh, emm..... the mouse stop working after few second. Do u know how to solve this problem?
