Prepare the tanks! Panzer Corps Gold is OUT!
The waiting is over: Panzer Corps Gold has just been released!
Enjoy Panzer Corps with all its expansions in a single package for the first time, at a spectacular discount! We are talking of the base game plus 17 (seventeen!) expansions here! It is truly a staggering amount of content which will keep you hooked for months.
To celebrate the Gold edition we are also decisively improving the game’s interface: now it’ll be possible to see a combat prediction in the map screen while planning your movement, and your units’ special abilities will be highlighted in the UI! Those are life changers, trust me, and they come with the free update released today!
Get Panzer Corps Gold now! The culmination of an epic saga.

Re: Prepare the tanks! Panzer Corps Gold is OUT!
Hi, I discovered this game a few days ago and played a little in a friends computer. Awesome game.
When I saw the Gold version I was counting the time for buying it and entered today several times to check if it was already out. And then it got out and I saw the price...
Please, don't understand me wrong, if I bother writing this is because I wish you well and I feel the price is absurd. A 2011 game for €76? Yes, I know, DLC.
But if we go for 2011 games, titles like Skyrim are right now €36,56 with all the DLCs (the number of different DLC is not comparable, different games... but I think we can agree with the idea than Panzer Corps DLCs were not more expensive to develop than Skyrim DLCs). And if you buy it, you'll have the enhanced edition (I'm not really sure what that is exactly but I guess it'll add some extra value). That's less than half of what you ask.
The Witcher II doesnt have DLC, but a pack with Witcher I, II and III costs 52... And it includes a full AAA game from 2015 and one of the best of the year.
And those are the first 2 2011 games I checked, but I could continue with Total War Shogun 2 with all DLC: 45; Batman Arkham City GOTY: 20, Dead Space 2: 10 (without any DLC, but 10!), Assasins Creed Deluxe: 20, etc.
I wonder if there are any that sells a gold version for something close to 70 euros. I really doubt it.
Again, you have every right to price your products as you see fit. But I felt like I should tell you that you lost my aprox 30 euros and I guess other's too. Will less sells at 76 be better for you than more at 30? I really (and it's not a sarcasm, I really do) hope for you that's the case. Because you deserve it. But are everybody's elses bean counters wrong when they sell old games much more cheaper than you or maybe you should recheck your numbers?
Just my 2 cents and please, again, don't understand this as anything more than a feedback.

Re: Prepare the tanks! Panzer Corps Gold is OUT!
I think it's flattering to compare Panzer Corps to that list of AAA titles. Phew that's a nice feeling.
All of the content, prior to this full package, is priced well above the entirety of the Gold Pack. Adding all DLC to cart, as it is on Steam right now, is $120 (something like 107 euro). That does not even include the base game either, which the Gold Pack includes.
It's being sold as a Steam "Complete your set" bundle - which means that if you already own the base game or any of the expansions but you want to complete your collection you can buy the bundle without the content you already own at a greatly discounted price!
I think this is a great package at a superb value for anyone looking for the absolutely everything package.

I downloaded and installed the new patch 1.30 and opened a saved battle in US Corps '44-45.AlbertoC wrote:The waiting is over: Panzer Corps Gold has just been released!

I see the movement based combat predictions but I DO NOT SEE ("UI" whatever that is) units special abilities. Nothing has changed.
Re: Prepare the tanks! Panzer Corps Gold is OUT!
Special abilities of units (in the form of icons) appeared in Purchase Panel where you buy a unit and in Unit Information (UI) Panel.Post by wargovichr » 07 Oct 2016 00:28

Slitherine has done amazing, amazing work for the small but loyal Panzer General community. As a fan of PG, I waited over a decade for someone to take up this beautiful game. But when you have such a small community, each person has to be willing to put in some real money in order for the economics to work out. You are right that instead of pricing it for PzC's base Slitherine could try to expand the reach of the game by joining the race to the bottom. Personally, I doubt that would work out well- there are plenty of tablet and phone games these days priced at $0.99 or $1.99 and I just don't see PzC ever having the mass appeal to make money at such low prices. It is, after all, very much a 90s game at heart (I mean that in a good way) and it takes real attention and effort to learn unlike the current "casual gaming" craze.Rechicero wrote:I feel the price is absurd.

OK What about folk that have a non-Steam stand alone installation & have already purchased most DLC?Kerensky wrote:I think it's flattering to compare Panzer Corps to that list of AAA titles. Phew that's a nice feeling.

Can they get a discount deal on the balance of the package?

Re: Prepare the tanks! Panzer Corps Gold is OUT!
I purchased the original Panzer Korps and all the add ons except the Soviet one. Can I have some sort of upgrade to get the new improvements, such as the odds calculator, without buying the entire gold package? I am really not prepared to drop $70 to $80 to get these. I don't use the Steam platform. My stuff is downloaded.
Re: Prepare the tanks! Panzer Corps Gold is OUT!
@Neul
I'm sorry that's not possible with our infrastructure. Ae don't have a way to discount the Gold version based on how many parts you own unfortunately. Its quite a complex problem to solve and would take significant design and development time.

"All its expansions", but I cant find which ones exactly when I go to the Slitherine shop page... I have PC, all DLC's and Afrika Korps - great to have a Gold Edition, but Im not sure to spend $.80,- to get which expansions and an updated interface?

Same here. When will be updated the iOS version? If i can do a request it would be to be able to buy a pack including the scenaries from Classic Pack to Gold instead of buying Sealion, Soviet Corps and US corps... I prefer to buy in bulk with a slight discountRouspeteur wrote:I love the game and just upgraded on Steam. My question is: Will the IOS version be updated too?

Hey Dev team,
While it is now possible to see if SoftCap is working, in practice it's impossible to do anything useful about it, so the information has limited value .
You missed a big opportunity to make it selectable or to include a slider to allow users to set limits appropriate to their playing style and ability. It's a divisive feature of the game and you mucked up here.

Yeah I don't see why we can't be kept in the loop. We paid for the game like everyone else.Crisis wrote:Same here. When will be updated the iOS version? Yes the iOS version will be updated, but it wasn't necessary to release simultaneously as it doesn't affect multiplayer. We'll let you know as soon as iOS is ready. There is no equivalent of Gold on iOS as you cant package a base game and DLC in a purchase without creating a full new app. Sorry we didn't make this clearer.

Same for me: if there is anything which would / could have made an essential improvement it was the possibility to edit the soft cap...captainjack wrote:Hey Dev team,

Re: Prepare the tanks! Panzer Corps Gold is OUT!
Ok, I have Panzer Corp, the Grand Campaign and Afrika Corp extension. What will the 1.30 upgrade give me versus paying 80.00 for PZ Gold?
Its been 8 hours no response from the ones who know the answer to my questions...in the meantime I did the 1.30 upgrade and noticed the Hero designator and the 'hover' feature so now I can see who has what capabilities and allocate resources accordingly....but what other differences are there? I'm in Russia and have fought through 4, 5 scenarios and dont see any difference...
Once again, what does Gold do that 1.30 does not....I see theres no Sea Lion...or the Amercian and Russian Control set ups...help.
