@majpalmer: phew! hope it stays that way. I have removed the port at Anzac Beach so it won't cause any more trouble in future games.

@all: find the 2.61 bugfix update here (it will also deal with the "shackled to a corpse" event and the CP AIs retreat from Danzig/Königsberg)

Another crash. Started the new game with all clean installs, and didn't place any naval units in the Anzac Cove port. Entente troops landed, took the cove. But during the turn the AI was moving near the cove and it crashed. The final line in the log is about assigning a commander.

On a brighter note, this time around I did build the second aircraft factory and did get the Fokker Event. I also learned my lesson and bulit more German fighters.

Really enjoying the Mod.

@majpalmer: did the "Russian Invasion repelled" event already trigger in your game?

and happens if you have cleared East Prussia from the Russians. I can see that hexes in East Prussia are under Russian control, but maybe they had been retaken after the event had fired.
If so, I might be on the right track.

The Russians pulled back in East Prussia, but I stayed put. The next turn they moved forward and reoccupied some hexes.

So far so good! Up to August 1916. What's the Indian Revolt event do?

BTW, Swedes took Petrograd in a July 1916 amphibious operation!

Here's what the Indian Revolt does:

Conditions
Singleplayer vs Entente:
Will happen as soon as the event “Demonstrations in Britain” has occurred and a roll of D100 is less than the √value of British reinforcements brought to the Mesopotamian front multiplied by the number of British collapse points.
Singleplayer vs CP or multiplayer:
Will happen as soon as the event “Demonstrations in Britain” has occurred and a roll of D100 is less than the √number of the current gameturn multiplied by the number of British collapse points.

Effect
Britain suffers a morale penalty of 10-15 and suffers two collapse points.
Further reinforcements to Mesopotamia will be delayed in singleplayer mode vs Entente.

Played the game through to the end. Disappointing finish.

I thought I was winning as the CP. Took out Serbia. Crushed Romania. Contained and then smashed The Army of the Orient and the Bulgarians recaptured Thessaloniki. The Turks were holding everywhere. The Swedes entered the war on my side, allowing me to make quick work of the Russian navy, destroy its Dreadnought (I'd also destroyed the Italian and French Dreadnoughts), and then the Swedes launched an amphibious operation that took Talinin and Petrograd! Russia gave up earlier than history--August 1917. Hughes had won the American election and there was no sign of pending American entry into the war. I started shifting forces back West and began an offensive in early 1918. The Austrians had taken Venice. The Germans were at the gates of Calais, had taken Reims, and were advancing on Paris.

And then both AH and Germany surrendered in July 1918--four months earlier than the actual Germans! I would have thought that I would have gained a few extra months before my collapse.

I'd built the extra Artillery lab but failed to trigger the Ersatz food event.

But no crashes!

I think the problem may be ( sorry if I repeat myself) that surrender is based on a raw calculation of morale and not a differential. So I guess you can be totally winning, with nothing to stop you, but because you've just accumulated the X amount of morale penalties/collapse points, you'll just surrender suddenly, with no connection whatsoever to your real strategic situation...

BTW, how do we install the 263bugfix? Do we just drag the lang and the script doc onto the main directory?

No, you must copy/paste them into the "data" folder to overwrite the old ones.

i believe whole alliance should receive huge morale bonus if some enemy main nation surrenders

Just some feedback and questions on PotzsBlitz.

Rail movement. I always thought it should be longer. I think it's about 16 now. But if each turn is now four weeks, rather than two, shouldn't it be 32?

Playing a new start as the CP. By turn 10 my NM is down to 44. It had been 119. What happened? I didn't lose any cities. I held Koenigsburg and Posen. In the West I had taken Liege, Brussels, Antwerp, Ypres, and Reims. I thought I was doing pretty good. By the end of 1914 I held all that, and had taken Warsaw and Novo-Georgevsk in the East, sank the Russian dreadnought, and the Swedes came in on my side. And I was at 24! Seems rather draconian.

I know that losing a dreadnought costs the owning nation a lot of national morale. It used to be 30 points. But I would think that sinking an enemy dreadnought fleet should also boost the winning players national morale. If losing major naval battle is bad for morale, winning a major naval battle should be good for morale. Maybe not 30, but how about 15 or 20? Something.
