Iwo Jima - objective met, no aircraft appears

Version 2.6.7c - U.S. Marines campaign

I was able to secure an airfield within the required 15 turns [all hexes within 3 of the airfield]. Notification popped up stating that I would receive an aircraft unit. However, it did not appear.

I know a new patch is upcoming. Perhaps this can be looked into before it is released.
