Question about DAG battles (both old and new)

I was wondering if you can battle your custom army in the old version as you can in the new version? and are the preset army composition in the new DAG battle really fixed or is it random? Because I noticed that the points will vary even when I battle the same armies.

Short answer...no. You could, I think, create a scenario with your designed army vs another designed army. Have not tried that yet, however.

I was able to play the old version a couple years ago but now I need a step-by-step guide to setting up multiplayer and single player (both random and non-random opponent) in DAG in the new game as there is app-style (negligible) explanation of what to do or whether the army in view is friend, foe, or just a list workup. This is important as to whether to Save, Delete, Back, Play or exit.

Please could someone who is facile at this ID the steps.

I did somehow generate a DAG battle but late at night so could not reconstruct the process.

OTHER COMMENTS: I'd complain about the downgrades to the army builder in lighting (too dark), font size (too squinty small), clarity as to what is on what line and which min/max applies to which lines.

Is there a hotkey list somewhere. The roll-out sidebar is such a big block of clutter I avoid using it despite it having the info I want. That command range has to be reactivated manually is a pain.

I also need a guide on on how to get terrain other than by hand picking it from one or more lists. I.e. settings for semi-randomizing it to be fair to both sides. Thank you.
