It is available in single player versions (both Swedish and Saxon) and Multi Player.
I hope you like the Chevaux de frise! If you are a scenario designer, feel free to use them in your own scenarios, just copy and paste the objects folder into your scenario folder and they should show up in the editor.
Here are the design notes;
1) By the time of the Great Northern War, the Polish Hussars and Pancerni were not the mighty fighting force that they had been in previous decades, and they were defeated very easily by the Swedish cavalry in this battle, and many others. Only the Hussar companions still carried the lance, their retainers used carbines, so the Hussar units in this scenario are 50% lance and 50% carbine, I have represented them as Cavalry (not Determined Horse) and removed their Impact Mounted capability. Their morale values are very much lower than in other Pike and Shot scenarios.
2) The Swedish Drabant Cavalry Regiment does not have flags. This may seem strange, but there are no historical references to
a flag at all and you would think that as a guard unit there would be some record as every other detail of their uniform has been recorded.
3) I have reduced all infantry units (except Swedes) using less sophisticated firing techniques to 80% Musket. As the Swedes have the Salvo capability, they are already reduced at short range and if I reduce their Salvo percentage that would affect their impact capability. So I withdrawn their Regimental gun capability instead, although I have kept the LG graphic.
4) Both the Saxon and Swedish armies were still wearing old style uniforms at this stage in the war, and neither army was yet wearing the tricorne, apart from the Livregimentet till hast cavalry.
5) Bombs seem only to have been used in assaulting fortified positions, so I have not given bombs to the Saxon grenadiers for this scenario.
6) This scenario uses the RBS socket bayonet mod, which also allows Swedish salvo infantry to charge cavalry.
7) I have given these early war Swedish infantry an increased movement rate, equivalent to Determined Foot.
9) The Uniticon flag I have used for the Saxons in this scenario is actually the flag of the united Saxony-Poland-Lithuania formed after Augustus was elected King of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1697.
9) Difficulty Rating; Hard.
10) Sideicons are as follows;
Swedish; King Charles XII, commanded the Swedish army at the battle.
Saxon; Augustus II, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, I have been unable to find a portrait of General Steinau, who actually commanded the Saxon army at the battle.
Uniforms and flags; I have given all units their historical uniforms and flags where possible.
Cheers
