Core units, re-enforcements, requisition points, experience

What does experience do for you? Are the requisition points worth the investment?

A large pool of core units would in the long run drain your points, if you keep giving them, trained re-enforcements rather than green recruits.

Does the composition of your core army matter much since you can buy and sell them as you go along?
