Hi Guys - This is probably just a day of release glitch but I bought winter war from Matrix /Slitherine and my key shows up here fine but the product screen is not showing Winter War as offering a Steam key as of 10:18 am Chicago time.

You might want to correct this - After buying Winter War on release day I deleted my original Order of Battle: Pacific in Steam.

I then reinstalled Order of Battle: World War II

It lists the new install as Order of Battle: World War II but the game image to the left of the Title Name in Library still shows up as Order of Battle: Pacific

In the longer term it will probably cause confusion with new buyers if not fixed.

First, the price of 14.99 euros. For what?
Then why the question address data, if you want to download?
Ok, the price had been able to push through coupon of 8% and payment in US dollars to less than 13, - Euro, but overall me the price of about 10, appears - Euro too high ... too high, so that one of usury can speak ... or is it the exclusion of Europe;) ??

To even be able to play something you have to start the game as an administrator ... with Password !!! Very sure!!!!

As a high level summary,

Yes, you need the 2.6.7 patch.

Yes, if you've installed the game to C:\Program Files(x86) then you will need to run the game as an administrator as that is a protected folder on Windows.

So after I uninstalled everything and then new, I have found the culprit. It is ... the installation routine of Winter War Update 2.4.8. This installed after the original game (1.5.8 ) to the path C: that of course the game repeatedly Administration \ Program Files (x86) \ Slitherine what then has the consequence right: selects \ Slitherine, the update ensures the path C needed. After all then in C: have installed \ Slitherine, everything works. Thus, this issue is resolved ..
Questions still remain, which I will ask if everything was played, because the reported errors are not well-considered / taken note, because if they are read, why not a short answer ??

So, nachdem ich alles deinstalliert und anschließend neu, habe ich den Übeltäter gefunden. Es ist ... die Installations Routine von Winter War Update 2.4.8. Diese installiert, nachdem das Originalspiel (1.5.8 ) sich den Pfad C:\Slitherine aussucht, sorgt das Update für den Pfad C:\Programme(x86)\Slitherine, was dann zur Folge hat, dass natürlich das Spiel immer wieder Administrations Recht benötigt. Nachdem ich alles dann in C:\Slitherine installiert habe, funktioniert alles. Somit ist dieses Problem behoben..
Fragen bleiben noch übrig, die ich stellen werde, wenn alles gespielt wurde, denn die gemeldeten Fehler werden ja wohl nicht berücksichtigt/zur Kenntnis genommen, denn wenn sie gelesen werden, warum nicht mal eine kurze Antwort??

Hi People

I'm looking for a new game to play - Winter war looks like a good place to start and then do all the scenario's - thought I'd try the free first scenario to sort out requirements/bugs etc. I downloaded OoB and eventually got a result after updating Java SE 6 and also DIv X.. but world map doesn't seem to be available and can't see an option anywhere to run Winter War... any suggestions? Thanks.

Great job, guys. This is my favorite so far (Close to Marines, which so far I've not been able to play through due to some bug). Ski troops are cool! Only major problems (for secondary objectives) are one scenario calls for destroying two trains in 20 turns, but I've only seen one appear during that time span -- have to destroy one first? -- and the Artillery damage within 10 turns is really hard, because artillery seems to hardly do any damage! I've crashed several times, but able to continue fine after that. Anyone reported a "pink wreck" bug? Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Will post screenshot and bug in separate thread sometime.

Wow - terrain looks really nice .... if only there were NATO counters to place upon it .... I would be whipping out the wallet ... someday ...
