Very strange bug, I dont know what to say, I see you are using the /nocache command so the game should run fine.
Just in case, try this:

These are the audio files in mp3 format, sometimes the different audio formats led to some game crashes. Try it, just deactivate the mod and delete the files from the Audio folder, then unrar into folder and activate the mod again. Its an old fix so MAYBE some sounds may be missing for units added in later releases.

This took longer than expected(had to edit every value in efx manually), but I made a complete soundmod for Soviet Storm. Which puts Sound Mod Redux + new sounds made by me for the new Soviet, Wehrmacht, and SS units in Soviet Storm(SS TD's can sing panzerlied on the move for instance). Only 5-10% of the units remain unchanged(and some of them are very rare; so I couldn't find audio for them).

Install by either using JSGME and add on top of Soviet Storm. Or copy and paste the files into your Soviet Storm folder.

Edit: Fixed an error of some gun animations not aligning correctly along with adding engine sounds for the last ju88 models.
Edit 2: Fixed Soviet Winter Cons 43 not using correct audio.

For the patch: Extract and overwrite the files in your soundmod folder.

Hello,

Game still crashes, even with sound files.
I have also tried reinstall completely, run with /nocache and without....
It always crash in same moment, after lots of enemy units moves.
Not sure how many, but i think memory just fill up and crash.
My computer has 4 GB ram, windows 10.
Here is the picture where exactly it crashes. (First turn pressing end button after my move)

In Battlefield Europe, it was also crashing, but /nocache command solved it out.
In this one, it wont help...

Maybe iam doing something wrong... dunno

Mhhh. Did you try the campaign?. Just to be sure that the bug is just in the big scenario and not some messy file?. Strange though as no one reported such issues.
Please let me know if could play it without problem.

Yeah, I don't mind. Anyone is free to use the sounds I created in the mod as they like. No guarantees I fixed all the animation alignments as that would take me weeks to finish; but if anyone can report problems with certain units, I'll see what I can do.

Standard campaign with smaller maps work just fine.
The big one keeps crashing.
The progress bar is about 90 percent done when it crash.
Ive used 64bit patch + nocache...

Wierd thing is, that the first AI round (starting one) goes just fine.
Do you place more enemy units for seccond round?
My guess is the memory just cant take it for me.

Do you think it would help if i get more RAM memory? I have 4 GB right now, windows 10, 64 bit.
But when iam watching task manager, the memory use for panzer corps is moving around 800 MB.

Hello again,

I have finally get it working.
I had done all the steps you suggested, but the breaking point was disabling all backround processes, like torrent, AVG antivirus software, skype, and others commonly used applications.
With all this disabled or removed, i succesfully moved to seccond round in big map scenario.

Therefore i confirm that the problem was the lack of memory... Iam unsure how can task manager show 1,3GB ram free and still crash...
I will try to get more RAM memory so i am able to play and have Skype turned on :)

Thank You for all your help,. now iam going to enjoy some big panzer battle :)

I have "borrowed" 2GB ram from my wife´s computer, and voila...
With 6 GB ram everything runs, even with skype, U torrent, and AVG software...

Maybe You can put that to the ReadMe file, that 6 GB ram is miminum for this big scenario....
Or 4GB with all other backround programs disabled...

Btw, how long did You spend on making such big scenario?
It has to be hundreds of hours...

Now after some time playing, i had same issue.
Look at this: http://www.potos.cz/crash.png
The unit in red circle is the one that always cause crash.
I guess i was just lucky before, cuz i retreated my units so she cant engage and crash the game in the process.

All with nocache and 64 bit adaptation (panzercoprs.exe).
There is also memory watcher included.
As you can see, 931 228K memory used, so its hardly full.

I ran the game 3 times, and it always crash after ambush on that SS truck.

Hi Hassanka!.
Very strange case indeed :shock: . It seems that SS unit is "cursed" in your computer :?
Here, this an attempt to fix that: I have removed the transports for those SS infantry units, try it and lets see if that solves the issue.

1- Deactivate the mod
2- Rename this file to War.pzscn and overwrite the same one inside the "Soviet Storm\Data" folder
3- Activate the mod
4- Test it.

beside this I have added the letter form.
and at my files, mygames panzer corps I have the orders with Soviet Storm (SCN)

ok, beside this, this mod is one of the best. And it makes more fun than some official DLCs (more motivation, better units)...How is the Soviet Corps DLC?

But some notes.
a)sometimes, enemy planes return not to their airfield to repair...they attack me with 3 planes.or they fly to my airfields?
b)the Ekranami tanks and others, are special units? They are superior from Moscow till Kerch (PzIV F2). with 6 or more tanks from this, the Scenarios are too easy
c)Sevastopol has to be rebalanced. it is not possible. Sure, a defeat would be ok and it is historic real...but why the game ends there?
if it is possible, please let me know how. the large ring of the enemies is at Sevastopol much smaller, only a bulk attack.

Hi tomjones. Another Eastern Front soldier has joined the fight, yeah :twisted:
First at all, thanks a lot for your kind words!, they are very important to keep me in this modding thing :D

Regarding your questions:
a) There is nothing I can do, its just the stupid AI, sometimes it keeps the planes flying all around without refueling. :cry:
b) Yeah the KVs in general are killer beasts, and just like in real life, they are WAY better than the Germans tanks until late 1942. So you can enjoy that advantage for a while.... or play in higher difficulty :P
c) Sevastopol is a thing: some people told me is too hard and other told me its just fine :? . I reduce the difficulty a couple of times, maybe I could try to go down even further. But in any case, if it is impossible for you, I suggest you to use cheat codes to bypass the scenario for now.

Hi,
(by the way, I have seen this mod at the DMP Forum)

I don't think this is a point of the difficulties. Except, I do it like almost cheating: I do +5 turns, no prestige for the enemy. -5 strength. and so on. But that is not the sense for me.

I can place only 12 units + Bonus (I have only 2)
Enemy has:
15(?) planes; in total 9 heavy mortar units... the 4x StuG III F are monsters! also like the Panzer IV F2 (what is fine and real)... and almost all and the weaker tanks have oversize.
The quantitiy of the enemy is high. But that is ok...but before the City of Sevastopol, the frontline is a third of the start of the scenario. So there is no chance to build a defense line, because with 12+2 units + some aux it is one the other sight of view a too long defense line. the river does not help - about the mortars + artillery.

I have played the other scenarios with medium difficulty. KI 2; Difficulty customised, prestige 100%, strength too... Sure the hardest was the first one and the second one. Also Leningrad was tricky, and Moscow. But it was possible to build a frontline. And it was ok if I have lost an unit or if I have lost experience with non-XP refillment. So I have 1-2 stars at my units. at my artilleries 3 stars. planes 0-1.

I am not a "lowgamer", but also not the best one. today I have not so much freetime or I am tired. So I have no fun to replay a scenario or to play in save/and load mode;) <--- great if you play not the chess mode
I have played Panzer Corps for circa 500 Hours...(incl. allied corps and mods: afrika, ostfront, pacific, BF Europe + others.
I have played Panzer General 20 years ago over a year ;) + part 2 + 3 + 3D + pacifik + fantasy + SSI's Steel Panthers series.

Finally, I will play the scenario again with my airforce to kill all sea units and enemy planes. then I will add the core units, because I can not delete my planes(?) and will make a landing in the north to roll over the enemy.
only to have fun..

is there no kompendium?

pps.

why ends the campaign if I loose Sevastopol? Change this, and all are happy ;).... if I know this, I would place no Unit at this scenario;)

The campaign ends because the early lost of Sevastopol means the faster the Germans can advance in the southern front.
The objectives are based on the real life facts, in order to win you have to hold the city until the historical date, regardless you know you will lose it (just like the briefing says).

but you can not do it realistic if the player has won before the Kerch scenario!
So the Axis has to move more units to the east.

I see the historic numbers:

soldiers 1:2,5 up to 1:3

The attackers lost more soldiers than the defenders...so if you want it realistic, there should be better defenses.

Hello Akula,
Following the testing of your beautiful new mod for modern times, I searched your old publications and found the mod Soviet Storm.
Along scenario (99 laps) is particularly successful. Once we started playing, we cannot stop.
Congratulations for this great work.

I have no fear for your new mod in progress, it will be irresistible.
