Can't launch OOB WWII on Steam

I own this game and the DLCs on Steam. My system automatically tried to download the new game since I had purchased OOB Pacific. I have a Mac. I'm getting an error that says the update was paused for a disk read error. Finding the app file it is grayed out because the file is now corrupted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot launch from Steam. It says the update was paused.

when it says this in windows on steam, just go into downloads and resume, then it continues, go into global steam settings and see if there's a setting that says background downloads etc, or download while playing etc

Mac steam version maybe something different, if so please contact support for a better or more correct answer

Steam is the same (in this regard) for Mac, I've gone to downloads and tried to resume and it gives me the same error message. My background download settings are the same as yours.

I've contacted Slithering support as suggested.

Disk errors, are Steam download errors.
Wait a couple of hours and then verify the game integrity cache.
